Still no female GMs, thanks god! Next thing you know they'll let them run for president or something.

Anyway, I wish the Giants would do something like this. Who knows if he'll be a complete failure, but at least there would be some hope around this place for awhile.

Is it really that hard to find a writer who understands even the simpler concepts of baseball statistics? Yes, the reason the offense was horrible is because we weren't able to bunt. For f sake. Then Bochy says that it is something they are going to work on more. Because for a team that makes so many outs, it's a good idea to start giving even more away for free.

The only good things about this column:
-It appears the Giants do in fact have people who are statistically inclined in the front office.
-Bochy has taken their advice at least once.

Turned the channel whenever the highlights came on. Avoided KNBR liked the plague. Muttered a few inaudible words whenever someone brought up the Giants. This is what I have done since yesterday afternoon. It’s time to focus on the game today. I hate labels, but this IS the biggest game of the year. Get the W and the road trip is done with a 6-5 record, a success no matter how painful it has felt. Get home to face the very bad Diamondbacks while the two teams we are chasing beat up on each other. Three games in the standings are there for the taking, no matter who wins in Colorado. Then the Rockies come to AT&T to face Lincecum, Zito and Cain. No matter how down I felt yesterday, sitting back today I can see it all falling into place. It is still within reach. Time to turn the page on yesterday.

Rolen & Scutaro: Any interest?

Rolen is owed $11 million next year so I don't think it'd cost much in terms of prospects to get the two of them. Shift the Panda to 1st, Scutaro at 2nd, improves the offense quite a bit while not giving up much defensively. Thoughts?
