I posted this on another thread. Probably the best video I've found of one of the best moments in Mets history. Watching it made me forget how far we've sunk, if only for a minute and fifty-seven seconds.

Watch it, remember where you were when it happened and try to forget every single Mets related thing that you remember that happened after it.

I suggest watching it with the sound off to ignore the douchnozzles and their "Fan Fest" commentating.

Why MetsBlog Sucks

I found Amazin' Avenue a few months ago from a link from Metsblog.com. I would always be amazed at how "off" the information contained therein was (like the attached link saying that Jenrry Mejia is 'playing' in the Futures Game) and how the opinions reflected those of a 12 year old without basic logic from both the writers and site patrons.

I've read a few things lately that said that the discourse on MetsBlog was a bit more "inviting" during some of the more heated discussions (Church-Francine as an e.g.). I would attribute that to the fact that you cannot recieve the level of discourse (nor the level of correct information) there that would here.

It still amazes me how SNY could be affiliated with this product that truthfully is no better than any one of us could put out.

Anyone who could dutifully put this on a website, simply does not deserve to have one:

...love the deal…the Mets needed to shake up the roster… the potential francoeur has is much greater than that of church, plus the Mets lose nothing on the defensive side…

Jerry's "gut feelings" are crap. Murph and Reed showed the first signs of life for this team in a while and neither is in tonight's line-up.

In their stead, is Fernando Tatis...the same Tatis who has sucked this year and is hitting .071 (.071!!!) lifetime against Wolf in 28 at bats.

Against Left-handers in 2008 & 09 Murph is hitting .317/.348 (albeit in 42 limited at bats). Give the kid a chance to build on something.

Tatis isn't going anywhere for us and Murph could really use an opportunity to break out. Not giving it to him is abhorrent.

If you are hesitant to make a trade, rummage the scrap heap to subsidize the roster. This would be a nice pickup for us.

Insert him where you were going to put Tim Redding and DFA him. We already have two long men who are pitching a heck of a lot better and this could keep Feliciano's arm from falling off.
