CJ's 2000yd follow up
In spite of many a pundit, and even Titans fans, chiding CJ for a 'disappointing' season, its interesting to note with one game left that he is in line for arguably the best 2000yd follow-up season in NFL history.
A depressing side note - CJ is the only person on the list to miss the playoffs in both his 2000yd season and the follow-up.
Every cloud has a silver lining
In light of all the negativity surrounding our team, and around this site, I decided to take an in depth look at some of the positives we can draw from today's game, and the last four weeks in general. I've tried to enumerate and explain all the indicators that suggest we can get this thing turned around before the end of the season. I have come up with the following:
List of positives after the jump...
Bad Vibrations
After seeing what the Bears were able to do to the Phins in Miami on four days rest, I am not feeling very good about the Titans. I need a Redskins beatdown to restore some faith.
"Reasons to feel good about a win tomorrow." or "Why total yards don't a story tell."
We keep hearing about the Chargers being first in total offense and defense. There loses are attributed to the mistakes they make on special teams and turnovers. However, what most media coverage seems to gloss over completely, is the fact the Chargers have had probably the easiest schedule in the NFL over the first seven weeks of the season. At first glance their previous opponent's combined record is a respectable 23-20. A more comprehensive look at their opponents tells a better story however.
Besides proving to be a game changing lineman, Dave Ball likes to wax philosophical.
"They’ve got a really good scheme to protect the quarterback. Some plays it’s like running through a hedge maze. You’ve got a clown popping out on the right side, a BMW on the left side. Then you have to run over the sprinklers. It’s hard trying to get there."
What does that even mean?
Completely Forgettable
After over 4000 votes, the memorability of the game today, and by extension KB's performance, has a rating of 0. The power of sore losers!
