As a kid, I was a terrible frontrunner. In the 70's, my favorite teams were the A's, the Reds, and the Yankees...in that order. But I followed Reggie to the Angels and that's where I stuck.

I loved Carew, Grich, and DeCinces.
I loved Wally World.
I even loved Mo Vaughn. At first.

In 2002, I made a deal with my wife. "If the Angels go to the postseason," I said, "I would like a bigscreen TV to watch the games." She had only been there for the bad times...so of course she agreed. I watched Speizio hit that HR and watched Ersty make that final catch on my 52" Sony. And life has been good ever since.

Except for the Red Sox. Man, I hate the Red Sox.
