RAIDERS SIGN CB BRANDON UNDERWOOD FROM GREEN BAY
So the first packer to follow Reggie Mckenzie to the raiders is Brandon Underwood! I have no idea who this guy is other than he was drafted from green bay in 2009 as a sixth round pick and is a cb. could he be added just for depth or could he be a replacement for routt or any of the other corners we have currently.
what do you think nation? who is this guy? and do you think that he will contribute?
S Markelle Martin
Though Martin is considered the third-best player at his position, he is also projected as a third-round pick as this is not the best safety class. However, that is not to sell Martin short on his abilities. Martin may be the best overall athlete at the safety position.
With a solid senior season Martin's draft stock may rise, but as of right now the Raiders should be hoping Martin falls right into their compensatory pick, who many assume will be a third-rounder.Martin tallied 62 tackles (52 solo), 11 passes defensed and two forced fumbles in his senior year. The Raiders may have other pressing needs than safety, but safety is still a huge issue for the Silver and Black. as far as highlights go, i could only find this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=to8Jsa13hxE which i cant stop watching over and over again. for his career he got 179 tackles, 3 INT, 1 TD, 39 Passes deflected, and 2 forced fumbles. he seems to be really good in coverage and attacks the ball well with speed and agression
RUMOR! DMC TRADE IN THE WORKS!!!?
Now i was minding my own business, mowing my lawn and washing my car when i got a very interesting text from raiders report on my iphone. I saw two things. ONE: that Greg Knapp was hired as OC and TWO: DMC is rumored as up for trade! now I don't know if this is true or not but i thought i should bring it to the nations attention. it would be a shame to lose such a dynamic player despite what blocking scheme we run due to the fact that he is just as deadly on screens then he is running the ball. So nation i would like for you to leave comments and if you don't seem worried or don't really care then thanks anyway
can Boller really do it???
I personally believe that Boller has the team to get the job done but everyone is all flippin' about who is going to be the next starting QB i have heard Garrard, Palmer, Brennan, Croyle, Losman, Edwards ( my pick personally) and of course ALOT OF GRADKOWSKI..... You know who im talking bout!
waste of a pick?
I have been doing quite a bit of research on who the raiders should select for their draft and so far I have not really decided on anyone except for one player.....Taiwan Jones. he has that raider speed Al Davis Loves ranging from 4.28-4.35. with a 42 vertical leap and 11 foot broad jump. ive checked out the highlights and i'm very impressed. though RB may not be our top priority but Mcfadden isn't the healthiest and drafting Taiwan can really add some depth to that position and if Mcfadden does go down, we can still have a double threat at RB position. Taiwan is projected 2-4 round pick
heres his highlights, they are quite fun to watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYVJ82hmT8g
good win, whats next?
this was an important win for our Oakland Raiders and i will be celebrating this win for a while but something is bothering me and i wish to discuss it with you guys!
SHOULD JASON CAMPBELL REMAIN THE STARTER?
i know he's pulled 3 straight wins out of his hat but this game was different than the other two. Campbell got off to a slow start and had little pocket presence through out the game. Campbell scared me and something tells me if he were to have a game like that again, we probably won't be as lucky next time.
so what you guys think?
OR
F*** You Jano!
The raiders deserved to lose today! (all though they should have won!)
10+ penalties for 100+ yards...... unacceptable
jano....... unexceptable
mario henderson......... unacceptable
coach cable......unacceptable
because of these guys, we have lost what could have been a great victory.
but even in a loss, there were some positives
BRUUUUUCE: he had a decent game and although his touchdown stats werent impressive, he got us down the field in scoring range (but some fat guy couldn't take advantage of it) he was 50% passing (and half of those missed should have been caught) and had 255 yards. for a Oakland Quarterback, thats acceptable! when the game is on the line or when points are neeeded, Gradkowski delivers. IN BRUCE WE TRUST
D-MAC: what can i say, he looks like a beast, he is starting to run with more explosive power, running people over and being patient while in the lane. this is exactly what we raiders fans were hoping for. RUN DMC RUN!
WR Corps: when the QB looks good, so does the WR/TE and in this case the entire WR crew and Zach looked amazing, there were a few that should have been caught but (Heyward bey in the endzone for example) but overall, nicely done! Murph,Heyward, and Zach ATTACK...... keep it up!
Stevie Brown
As some of you may know, stevie brown was the last of the 21 players to be cut to make the 53 man roster
Seattle vs Oakland
Hey nation! the final preseason game is today and even though its the least important of all preseason games, i will still watch it cuz i love seeing the silver and black. Also this is that last game where i can analyze where we need to improve before the regular season so to me, its very important.
49ers-28 Raiders-24
Hey Raider Nation! im new to the Silver and Black Pride but i joined so i could show my love for this great franchise.
