As a kid growing up I remember the frustration and anger my father had toward the Vikings, and even though he cursed and threw things at the TV when they played, he still loved them. He would tell me about the golden years of the Purple People Eaters, Fran the Man, Met Stadium, and that love has transferred onto me. After the heartbreaking 1998 season, when I was 10 years old watching Duante Culpepper, Randy Moss, Robert Smith, John Randle, Chris Carter and the rest of the team, I have been hooked on the purple and gold for better or for worse.
