ROLLS with the TIDE!!!!
Stud LB out of Springfield Ohio chooses BAMA over ohio state.
Sal Sunseri is responsible for bringing him to the TIDE.
DePriest wanted to go somewhere he could win a National Titile and a Butkus award.
Looks like he chose a school that he can easily do both. Saban is bringing in 5 stars by the bus load.
There is no place in the country we can't snag a kid.
Good start to the weekend.
RTR!!
WR COMMIT FROM MEMPHIS FOR 2010
SABAN is already working on next year's class.
I believe kiffin and lance from tn proclaimed they would own Memphis next year....
well looks like they let one get away...
Mitchell (Memphis) receiver Keiwone Malone gave his verbal pledge to Tide Coach Nick Saban on Wednesday evening.
"He committed last night to Coach Saban and I know he was happy to do it early," said Mitchell Coach Nathan Cole. "He is an exciting playmaker for us. He is the kid that can go up and get the ball and turn a five-yard pass pattern into a 70-yard touchdown. He can truly do it all.
RTR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BAMA # 9 in the AP POLL
Nice to see the TIDE in the top 10 again. I am not sure if the TIDE truly is a top 10 team...much more will be known about this team after away games at ark and uga.
No team in the SEC can be taken lightly, msu and sc gave all awBarn and uga could handle this past Saturday.
Hopefully the team can play consistently enough to stay in the top 10. Cecil Hurt wrote a great article on just that...

RTR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kellen Williams COMMITS to the TIDE
Big 6'5, 298 pounds, Forty: 5.4 secs
He is a Life long TIDE FAN.
Once the Nicktator saw some more film on the guy he offered.
Did not take long for Williams to commit.
Great frame, could project on either side of the ball.
You can never have enough guys with size and speed on your team.
ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!
The PROCESS CONTINUES!!!
BIG TIME COMMIT.........
CHRIS JORDAN enjoyed his recruiting trip and commited to the TIDE. This is a big time prospect listed as the # 3 prospect in the state of Tn. He could project at LB or RB. He is 6foot2 and 200 runs a 4.4.
From what I have read the recruiting weekend went very well... All the commited players seem to be excited about their future at the Capstone.
SABAN shines in the off season and he is doing it once again. If we get Julio and Jerrell Harris, we will certainly have one of the best recruting classes in years at ALABAMA.
ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bama / Tenn recap
wow guys... just got back from the game. i hope the three daves captured the excitment i witnessed first hand. i am no longer worried about j.p.wilson or major applewhites playcalling... if D.J. Hall has space, we're good. he can play on sunday, no problem. this game is the perfect example of why we have paid one man so much... on sides kick? first play from scrimmage? when was the last time that happened??
we finally have a real coach and it couldn't have been more obvious today. we beat a team with more talent and more depth due to coaching. there's a new sherriff in town.
WEST IS WIDE OPEN....
The TIDE pulls out another close one in Oxford. I am proud of our team and coaching staff. Obviously the TIDE did not play a flawless game, but all three phases did enough to get a WIN.
I really do think our team is still improving week to week. JP had one of his better games of the season yesterday. Our running game looked good with Huber laying down key blocks all day. Applewhite seemed more comfortable calling the plays yesterday than he has all year.
Yesterday our D created turnovers and are starting to get a little better of a pass rush with Motley getting back in the rotation. Yes our D is thin, but they got enough heart to make up for it.
Javier ARENAS is probabaly the most valuable player on the team. He had 164 total return yards yesterday. In BAMA's wins ARENAS has played a key role in flipping field position.
Now that the mighty LSU tigers have a loss the WEST IS WIDE OPEN. This is the craziest year of College Football that I can remember.
No team is safe on top. All the TIDE has to do is keep winning. We are in a three way tie in the WEST with awBarn and leslie's tigers. Next up, tn in Bryant Denny, I like our chances. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!! you gotta BELIEVE.
RECENT COMITTMENTS 5 STAR OL 4 STAR WR
Over the weekend we got 5 STAR TYLER LOVE OL from Mountainbrook and 4STAR Melvin Ray WR from Tallahasee. We are starting to bring in the talent needed to take back the SEC. I feel confident this staff will take the talent and develop them. Clubshula would have never been able to steal a 4 Star WR out of F$U's back yard. Saban has placed ALABAMA back on a National scene. All of the guys we are recruiting are first interested in our staff, then once they visit the University they realize our facilities are among the best out there. I feel good about the direction of the program for the first time in a long time. ROLL TIDE ROLL, kepp 'em coming SABAN.
Brandon Lewis
Just another recruit speaking well of our coaching staff. We should be a much more productive team now. Our O-Line should be solid with ANDRE and CALDWELL being the anchors on the line. Our secondary will be the best coached in all of the SEC. Castille should have a HUGE year. Our D-line should be decent next year. I think we could win 9 or 10 next year with the favorable home schedule. ROLL TIDE ROLL

WE GOT UPSHAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent LB or DE pick up depends on how the staff wants to use him. Another 4 star
for Saban and staff. Also another in state recruit for the TIDE. We are owning the state right now. I expect our class to be ranked in the top 5 when it is all said and done. We are building an excellent front 7 for the D in years to come.
ROLL TIDE ROLL, keep them coming CNS.
GABBERT QB close....
I am hearing that GABBERT the stud QB from Missouri is close to making a decision. The word is it is a two horse race btw BAMA and mizzou, it is a no brainer. I got a good feeling he is comg to the TIDE. He made a surprise middle of the week visit after A-Day and it apparently went very well. Our facilities and tradition blow any school out of the water esp mizzou, BUT mizzou is close to home so you never know. Hope it turns out in favor of the TIDE, thought I would let you TIDE junkies know before the rest. ROLL TIDE ROLL
IVAN MATCHETT...
we got him, nice RB out of Mobile, good size, hands and speed. Alabama is starting to land guys from Mobile again. THis guy should be a solid contributor, grades will not be an issue. I am glad to see that guys are commiting early like this, just shows how good of an impression this staff is making around the state as well as the southeast.
anybody see the performance of ....
Pat Summit last night at the tn vs. fla Basketball game. If you did not see it, consider yourself lucky. I was embarassed for her. You could tell she was kind of like what the Hell am I doing. I thought I hated the rocky top song before ...
On another note, tn is for real, with Lofton back I think they could go pretty far in the tourament.
CIGNETTI???
Anybody heard about this guy?
NC ST assistant that I think we brought on to the staff, I have read some specualtion but nothing written in stone, wondering if anyone know for sure. From what I have read I think he will be a great addition to the staff, good recruiter, works maniac hours like Saban, sounds like a good fit if we reaaly got him, somebody let me know.
HOOVER DUO, SABAN has some aces up his sleeve
I have a good feeling about the HOOVER DUO, Chapman and Murphy are what this class needs. We need more D Lineman, these guys seem to have the body and skill to make an impact early. With good coaching they could become clutch players for the TIDE. I hope we get both, word is we should at least get Chapman. ROLL TIDE, we should know soon.
BIG LUTHER COMMITED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Luther Davis commited to the TIDE this morning. Saban and staff stole him right out from under les miles and lsu, which of course makes it sweeter. We need D Line players more than any other position, this is a huge pick up in my opinion. I have a real goo feeling about this class, we should finish strong. ROLL TIDE ROLL, it is appropriate that on the anniversary of the Bryant's death we steal a D lineman from lswho.
West Monroe defensive lineman Luther Davis has been a hot topic among
recruiting fans the past week. Davis, 6-foot-4, 254-pounds, committed
to LSU
but when Nick Saban was hired decided to officially visit Alabama which
was
a sore subject for Les Miles and the Bengal Tiger faithful.
Friday morning Davis, rated a 4-star prospects and 8th best overall
prospect
in Louisiana, decided to publicly switch his commitment to Alabama when
he
verbally committed to the Tide.
"I texted Coach (Lance) Thompson yesterday and then late last night I
talked
to Coach Saban and told him I was coming to Alabama. They were really
excited and told me how much they appreciated it because they know what
I've
had to go through living in Louisiana and looking at playing for them,"
Davis said. "Coach Saban was a huge reason for me switching because I
believe in what he is trying to do and I know how great of a coach he
can
be. I know he's going to have Alabama in the national championship game
in
the next three years. My relationship with him and Coach Thompson was
the
difference.
"When I was on my visit there I just loved the city, it was awesome and
the
people are the best I've ever met. They knew who I was and were
friendly and
wanted me to come to play for them. I knew it was a college town and
the
people love football."
Earlier this week Davis met with Miles and informed him that he was
looking
hard at Alabama and wanted to de-commit.
"I called coach (Les) Miles Tuesday and told him I wanted to de-commit
and
that I was looking hard at Alabama. I didn't tell him I was going to
commit
but I did tell him that they should look at Jason Peters. He wasn't
very
happy about it but I have to make the best decision for me, not anyone
else,
He tried to talk me out of it but I had made up my mind" Davis said.
"LSU is
a great school but they are loaded at my position and I have a better
chance
of playing earlier at Alabama. Also, I just felt more comfortable with
the
Alabama staff and that was very important to me. The bottom line is I
have
to be with them for the next four or more years and that relationship
is
important."
With his recruitment behind him Davis indicated that he has some
recruiting
of his own to do.
"I'm done, 100% Alabama. I've discussed this over with everyone that
matters
and we all think it's a great choice. My family is happy because
Tuscaloosa
isn't that far away and they will still be able to come see me play,"
Davis
said. "Now I've got to start recruiting. I'm going to talk to Joe
McKnight,
Chad Jones, Rolando Melancon and Ahmad Paige. Really, anyone who can
help us
win. I'm going to talk to them all.
"I'll start with Ahmad because we are the closest. I'm going to get him
to
come up for an unofficial visit with me and drop USC. That is already
in the
works. Things are going to get exciting for Alabama fans this last
couple of
weeks."
SO THIS IS WHAT HAS BECOME OF THE TIDE...
all I can say is the scene is DEPRESSING. We are not even close to where we need to be. Whoever the new coach will be, he will have young talent to work with. But the new coach must restore FUNDAMENTALS to the program and DISCIPLINE. I guess this past game was completely appropriate for how the season has gone, in a word DISSAPOINTING. I am going to see the Trey A. in A.C. and try to forget about the TIDE. When I get back I hope to see a new head coach that will restore the greatest program in the history of College Football back to what it once was.
MELTDOWN CITY CHALKDUST
the old saying when it rains it pours...the TIDE is still waiting on a coach and now the man, TREY ANASTASIO, gets arrested for a DWI and has a bunch of scrips on him that are for someone else. I hope it does not screw up this last little tour he is doing this year. I guess I am just waiting for someone to call me and tell me my apt is on fire. When will order be restored to my life, I can not take anymore bad news. I am going home after work, getting right, fixing the stongest SCOTCH drink I can bare and blasting Vegas 98 unitl I pass out. Here is the srticel for anyone besides Chalkdust that might care:

WHITEHALL -- Former Phish frontman Trey Anastasio was arrested by village police early this morning and charged with DWI-drugs after they stopped his car for failure to keep right.
Ernest J. Anastasio was stopped at 3:30 a.m. by Patrolman Andrew Mija who said the musician was observed to be under the influence of a narcotic substance after failing field testing, Patrolman Jeff Whalen said this morning.
Anastasio, who lives in nearby Vermont, also had a suspended driver's license in New York. He allegedly was found with an assortment of prescription medications including hydrocodone, Percocet and Xanax, which were prescribed for another person., Whalen said.
Anastasio was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and DWI - drugs, Whalen said. He was released on his own recognizance with appearance tickets for a later date.
Anastasio, who is pursuing a solo career since Phish broke up, is scheduled appear at the Palace Theater in Albany on Dec. 29.
PROTHRO????
From what I am hearing Pro is bringing out the Game Ball, Bryant Denny is going to be ROCKING. I am so proud of his career even if he never plays another down. If every player had his heart the winning would take care of itself! ROLL TIDE ROLL, we got them right where we want them, I do not know how to do a hyperlink so I just cut paste the story.

TUSCALOOSA | University of Alabama senior wide receiver Tyrone Prothro might participate in Saturday's game against Auburn, just not the way fans are accustomed to.
School officials are considering having Prothro bring out the game ball as part of the pregame ceremony, an honor usually reserved for former outstanding players.
Prothro, who hopes to return to the team next season, joined his teammates in pads Tuesday, but did not practice.
"He's not going to play, that's about the only thing I can give you right now," coach Mike Shula said Thursday, but had a big grin on his face.
When asked specifically if Prothro could bring out the game ball, Shula didn't confirm or deny anything to reporters.
"I don't get involved in any of those decisions," he said. "You're talking to the wrong guy about any of that stuff. I have to get our football team ready."
Prothro hasn't played since sustaining a broken leg against Florida last year, an injury from which he's still recovering.
The last time Alabama hosted Auburn, in 2004, Joe Namath brought out the game ball.

IRON BOWL PREDICTIONS....
let me here it...I want to know what y'all are thinking about the big one left on the schedule. My thoughts are that we have not had one complete game all season. That being said we are due for a complete game. The boogs are totally beatable and limping into T-TOWN. TIDE 28 boogs 13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FEAR THE FINGER
THE STATE OF THE TIDE
I have not really been posting much since the msu debacle. To tell everyone the truth I have been trying to figure out what is going on with our program. Last year at this time we were undefeated and 3rd in the country. We lost plenty of players from last year on D, but have managed to be decent on that side of the ball. We returned almost every starter on O, and have gotten increasingly worse as the season has progressed. COACHING, Kines makes it work no matter what he has, our O coaches could not fucking score in a whore house. It makes me sick to think what how many opportunities this team has had in the last couple of years if we had just a decent offense. I hate to say it, but it is going to get worse before it gets better. I will never not believe in my TIDE but coach connely, radar and shula(the 3 stooges) make it pretty fucking hard. ROLL TIDE ROLL
Leadership?
I watched the game from some good seats, West stands about 9 rows up on the 35. Being this close to the sideline gave me a new perspective on our team. Watching thier body language and how they looked on the sideline for example, Kines having to go to each defender to address them bc they were not even tight on the sidelines. Our players should want to know what Kines is saying, instead he is looking for them on the sideline. Unfoortunatley this is one example out of about 5 I can name. This leads me to believe thier are no TRUE leaders on this team. I do not think our biggest problem is talent(we could use some more though) our biggest problem are leaders. This is a tough pill to swallow bc the coaching staff can't just make someone a leader, you either are naturally one or you are not. I wish that I felt differently, bc I really do not think we can win one of the big 3 left on the schedule with no leaders. Unless leaders emerge we are going to end the year 7-5 an going to some pointless bowl.
GUILLON, CHUMP CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot tell all of the Bama fans that visit this site how dissapointed I am in marc CHUMP guillon. ALABAMA FOOTBALL is not something you kind of commit to, you are either IN or your FUCKING OUT. This kind of attitude is contagious and can really screw up the chemistry of a team. Did he think that all of a sudden he was going to be named the starter. It was clear that JP had this job a long time ago. We should have known this guy was a LOSER beacuse he came from the BIGGEST LOSER school of all, the u. Sorry for the rage just super pissed. ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOUNDSTOOTH TRIM ON JERSEY FOR OLE SISS GAME
what is the opinion of the Houndstooth trim on the jersey's for the ole siss game. At first when I heard about the change I did not think I would like it, but of course we did it Classy and I think it looks sweet. I know that the player in the jersey is much more important, but I am tired of talking about why our offense sucks in the red zone and why our D is hot/cold all the time. ROLL TIDE I think we will smoke ole siss like we usually do, the only thing that will be different is the TIDE's jersey's will look a little sweeter.
KD
How much will KD rush for against vandy?
Also, does anyone think that all the preseason hype about him breaking the all time rushing record held by Shaun is getting to KD, maybe trying to do to much?
BAMA vs warriors
Wondering what most think the outcome will be in the opener. I am thinking the running game for the Tide will be to much for the warriors to handle. The Tide's running game will keep the warriors offense off the field. Along with some nice special teams play from JAVIER ARENAS and TERRY GRANT, two names that will be more familiar to people at the end of the season, the final score will be:
ALABAMA 24 warriors 6
Showing 1 - 26 of 26
