Fan Day Practice
I had a great time yesterday at fan day and came home with a lot of excitement and a few worries. I' m no football expert but I think know what I' m talking about most of the time so this is just my observation. First of all GMac played great and I have no worries about him leading our team but the back-ups scared me a little. Star Jackson had nice passes but also had under throws, overthrows and an indecisive release. Darrah looked awkward and didn't impress me at all but I see a lot of potential in AJ yet he did get chewed out for throwing one away. He did seem to have a confidence about him and I believe if Greg went down he'd be our quarterback. The receivers looked great. Of course Julio was amazing and I saw Gibson making catch after catch all day. Hanks, McCoy and Maze looked great too. Peek was impressive and had nice size and good hands. Trent Richardson was explosive and has the power to run some folks over! He was Huge!!! man he must of started working out in 1st grade..... Lacy impressed me as much as TR and I can't believe I'm saying that but just wait. Just wait. The Defense was nasty!!!!!!!! I can't say enough on how impressed I am. Robby Green was all over the place and always where the ball ended up. His natural instincts are amazing. Don'ta and Rolando behind Cody is speechless. Thats all can say,,,, Im in shock. Don'ta was all over the quarterbacks and even poped Gmac to the ground one time. Between him and Rolando it sounded like gunfire the whole practice and I know they were holding back a little on the teammates.. wow. But that is what brought me to my worries. I hope our defensive pass rush is that good. Carpenter( I think it was) did a great job at LT and no one came through the middle but they zoomed right past Fluker at RT more than a few times. He's still learning and has plenty of practice time to get it right so im sure they will have a great Oline when the season starts. 26 more days!!!!!!!!! I can't wait.
I'm hearing that Julio Jones and Mark Ingram could be suspended for the first game against Virginia Tech due to an Auburn alumni paying for a fishing trip.??????? Is it true .....

I can't believe the season is over! I really wish we could have won the SECCG but I'm still very proud of our season and I hope the seniors are remembered for turning it all around. We're going to blow out Utah in the bowl game. I wish little schools like that would stay out of the BCS because it just screws the Bowl games up. I wish it was Alabama vs. USC but oh well.
I can't wait till next year. Roll Tide!

The bulldogs were quiet and wanted no more
As I stared into the crowd, I took a double-take

The third quarter was a show of compassion
The Tide took a break from dealing the lashin'
Back to business as the Tide took charge
The defense was strong, with CODY looming large
The game rolled on....The Tide did too
The men in black were all black and blue

All sore this morning....Trust us we know

As we left the stadium with our bulldog friends, I looked at my cousin who had started to grin
The walk to the car was a hell of a stroll. All we could say was ROLL TIDE ROLL!
