Turf Show Times Richardson? Pffftt. Please.

So there is a lot of talk about us drafting the high touted RB Richardson. the one and only position that we are set with... you know number 39? Sjax? that guy... now im not saying Richardson doesn't have the talent but your telling me we are going to use a top ten pick to get a second string running back? the one and only position we are set at. i dont think so.

I feel the pick would be better used in 1) trading down. the reason for this is you and i both know the rams are more needs than one can count. there's a lot of talk taking Blackmon but in my opinion the best WR in the league is Stephen Hill, he may not have turned heads in college but with great speed at 6'4 how can you not love that. And getting a mid first rounder and maybe get a value pick either this year or next. in the trade bounty. (i apologize if i made any ram fans uncomfortable with the b word aha). 2) drafting a WR. if we dont find any dance partners to ship the number 6 and blackmon is on the board i think we would take him. again he isn't my personal favourite in this draft but he is a talented kid none the less. the reason why trading down may be difficult is if a lot of teams are trying to trade down then obviously its a buyers market and thus we dont get a lot back on our trade. 3) I think there are quality half backs availble in the second and even third round this year. Names such as LaMicheal James and Lamar Miller. guys who bring a lot of the same qualities to the table of richardson but have a much better value at being availble in the early to late second round. These guys i believe would bring a great diversity to our RB and potentially be our RB for the future. 4) and finally DEFENSE. we have to remeber this is Fish's team and that mutha trucka loves a tough physical defense. Guys like Mike Brockers and Fletcher Cox (who is the fastest 300lb man i ave ever seen) fit fish's scheme and what he considers a winning formula and that is tough defense. other positions such as LB (melvin ingram or courtney upshaw) who would bring great run stopping ability as well a great pass rusher.

I mean guys lets be reasonable here. Sure, our beloved steven jackson is getting a little on the older side. but he puts his heart on his sleeve game in and game out. But hey im just your friendly neighbourhood arm chair gm. Does Richardson have the potential to be a franchise HB? sure. is he what we need right now? no. RB isnt a concern at the moment and we dont need to burn a first to get one. ask me this question 2-3 years from now and my answer may be completey different.

Turf Show Times Lets Talk Bradford.

k............ turf show times. we need to talk. all this babbling about trading the face of our franchise Sammy B is starting to take motion and is growing day by day. but people.... we cant write off Bradford this soon! Icant believe after one bad season were throwing Sam to the curb. people.. this was last years rookie of the year!!!! does anyone even remember last season!?!?! 7-9?? not bad for a guy whose number one wide out was Brandon"who the hell is this loser?" Gibson. And when the guy was playing this year (when he was still playing) he was the highest sacked QB in the whole league and was playing with receivers who wouldn't even start in the CFL! for everyone who thinks Bradford is going they can forget it. i dont see the rams trading him at any time. honestly with his performance this year i don't know if theres a team who would give at least a first round and second round for him. However that is not my point. I think you guys are all writing Sam off way to quickly. This year’s performance wasn't his fault at all. if you ask me it was that McDaniel's clown who screwed us over. If Jon Gruden comes into our organization i really think this QB guru will help right the ship and give Sam an opportunity to succeed, which i think ultimately he will. BUT PEOPLE GIVE HIM A CHANCE.and everyone knows that along with the madden curse there is what is called a sophomore slump. these, as strange as they are, seem to ring true every single season. ladies and gents. give the kid a chance. Bradford is a winner. i truly believe in that.

So ladies and gents who are faithful to the navy blue and royal gold. Is our future brighter with or without Sam Bradford? TO THE POLLS! And hey one more thing to remember we are all Rams fans so we love each other no matter what :P however people are entitled to their own opinions so respect it, but that doesn't mean you have to believe it. ;)

So if you havent figured it out. My stand on this issue is to give him at least one more year. ive seen flashes of astronomical potential from this kid. however his supporting cast has always kept him from reaching the heights he truely can. give this guy a chance. he is the best QB we've seen this side of 2004.

Turf Show Times DRAFT 2012: Welcome to the WAR ROOM.

if you had a seat at the 2012 St Louis Rams War Room table there are a number of issues that need to be addressed (I hate to sound like a broken record but its the truth.) in my most humble opinioin The most apparent issue with this team is the play of our O-Line: ypu have to be able to protect your signal caller and face of the franchise. however the list goes on. Secondary is Secondary ,come on you liked it ;) third is our outside line backers. our run defence is horrible and theres only so much lauranitis can do. and 4th i think would be our interior defensive line. we're getting some sucess in pressuring the qb from the outside with Long (thank god hes finally come alive) and quinn who is showing a lot of potential. were just not getting enough push with the interior or have that lights out run stopping ability with the front four.

Ladies and gents if you were in the War Room what would you do??

My opinion i would stress Kalil. I know there is talk of trading down and maybe going for more quantity than quality however we NEED a OT who can block. (Face Palm @ Jason Smith... gosh how i wish he panned out)

Kalil is a cant miss guy and in my opinion has cornerstone written all over him. he'll be protecting bradford for years to come and they'll both be inducted to the Football Hall of Fame after winning 5 straight superbowls :D (one can dream.............right?)

But lets hear your opinion. going into April 2012 draft. What is your strategy. What needs the most attention in the draft and what areas will you leave for Free Agency?

Turf Show Times TJ or Vjax?? Which is better?

Open question here ladies and gents. But with all this speculation going around there really isnt a thread that compares vjax to housh. So i wanted to see what the ram nation would prefer to have suit up in blue and gold this year.

heres my short comparison of both

VJAX

The Good

  • proven number 1
  • younger
  • perhaps a better skill set

The bad

  • Questionable behaviour
  • Egosistacle
  • Very expensive
  • Only has one tremendous year

TJ

The good:

  • more expierence than vjax
  • (in my opinion) better hands
  • a very good route runner
  • want to win
  • team player

the bad

  • older than vjax
  • has not proven himself as a dominant number one
  • perhaps on the decline of his career

now its your turn! tell me what you think.

should the rams invest in these two or perhaps go another way??

Poll
which one should the rams get (or try to)?
