New Guard

I've heard this rumor? a couple of times in the past few days and wanted to check in and see if anyone else had heard it also. In the Dick Jauron press conferance he said that they had worked Demetrius Bell at guard all last year in practice and not at tackle. Anyone else hear this and what do you all think of this idea? Can you imagine him next to Jason Peters with his size and his athletic ability to pull (basketball backround).

PLAYED HARD

You know from watching the game today I feel that the team played real hard today and it was such a shame that one player could cause all that to go for nothing. JP Losman what can you say he lost this game for the whole team high throws, low throws, fumbles, interseptions at the worst times which gave the Jets such a short field. When we drafted him I really through that he would be the guy to lead this team but he has to be one if not the worst quarterbacks we had even worse than Rob Johnson. What a waste. Proud of the rest of the team especially ML and ML jr. great effort today.

Champions

We are the champions---it may not be the Buffalo Bills but it may be as close as any of us will ever come to a champion in our life time. But lets celabrate the fact that the University of New York at Buffalo (UB for those of you old enough to remember) is the Champion of the Mid-America Conferance as they beat the Ball State team last friday night. Ball State was undefeated coming into the game and a ranked team not sure what number they were. With this good news why not add Turner Gills name to those for the new head coach of the Bills.

to get to far ahead of ourselves, but looking ahead a few games the Cardnials look to be a better team that I previously throught, and the Jets and Dolphins are worst than I throught. The Cardinals really showed that the Dolphins are not as good as they looked last week by keeping the game close with the Jets and the Jets are not as good as they looked in the win against the Dolphins. New England still looks like the cream of the AFC East-good defence and Cassel played well in the system they have and they still have very good recievers and he'll be more game ready by the time we get to him. But this is a differant Bills team they don't give up those third and long plays that used to drive me nuts, and are the ones making those plays. GO BILLS!!!

RANDOM THROUGHTS

1) Jason Peters says that he had to hold out it was his only leverage against the team to get a new contract and he's taking the front office at thier word that they will renagociate his contract--Didn't they tell him that all along show up and we'll talk about redoing the contract nothing changed so why did he wait to come back?????

2) See who the Jags signed to play guard this week Tutan Reyes that name seems farmiliar.

3) We're all a little up set with the offence this week (that they started slow) but they did score enough points to beat the Seahawks even if the special team had not scored any points we still win. So they did enough to win on there own.

4) The defense really kept us in this game until the offence could get going. I think they can really keep us in games that are close this year and hold a lead at the end of the game (not like last year).

5) Being at the game was a real rush (the weather not withstanding) some of those downpores where bad no wonder they dropped passes I couldn't hold my drink it was so slippery.

Draft

Out of the 10 draft choices one is on Injuried Reserve and one cut (last draft choice) not a bad draft class if they all work out. I really like that they kept Bell and Omon and Steve Johnson especially. I think that he will be in the slot next year displacing Reed, he's just to good to be on the bench. Bell could be the next Jason Peters in a couple of years just ready to take over when his current contract runs out.

QB Competition?

In the recent Bills Digest there is a Q and A with DJ who says speaking of JP "It's very hard, but he's done an outstanding job of trying to keep his head in it all the time. He understands that he's needed and we want him here.Odds are we're going to need him at some point to perform."

Here's the interesting part "And he can also compete for the position. Trent is our starter, but like everybody else out here it's a competition. Anybody that's not the starter has to clearly take the job. If it's a tie the starter would keep the starting job"

So is the job open for grabs?

Hardy pulls gun

Did anyone else see the articule out of Indiana that James Hardy pulled a gun on his father last sunday? It was reported that he had an aurgument with his father in the backyard of his fathers home when a neighbor saw him pull a gum and called the police. Hope this is not the start of problems with him, he does have a permit to carry a gun so that not an issue like it is with alot of these guys. I was one of the ones to say give this guy a chance because of his backround, but this is not good.
