Assuming if this goes down as it says it may throw a wrench in them trading Stoudemire.

From rotoworld via the Sacramento Bee. Not sure if we have the goods to get a deal done, but Miller seems to be on a lot of our radars and I've always been a fan of Salmons. Would the Kings be interested in something like this maybe(i honestly have no idea, just throwing it out there)::

Sounds like Stephen A. Smith at his rumor starting best. I'm not sure if Stoudemire wants to win as much as he wants to be "that guy" ala Shawn Marion. Either way, if he wants to bolt Phoenix in 2010 and the Bulls have the cap room, I wouldn't complain. You can still be "that guy" and defer to the point god Amare!!

Blog a Bull Chi-Miami-Portland Trade Proposal

With all the trade proposals being thrown around on here, I thought I'd toss my two cents in.

3 Way Trade

Why Chicago does it: Get a solid backup PG prospect and an expiring deal.  Might also have to send a protected first rounder to Miami for assuming the remainder of Hinrich's deal.  Bulls would be left with plenty of cap room to resign Gordon or go after an ETO All-Star like Carlos Boozer.

Rose/Gordon/Deng/Thomas/Noah  Bench: Noc, Gray, Hughes, Gooden, Rodriguez

Why Miami does it: They have allegedly coveted Hinrich in the past, plus they still get a nice chunk of expiring deals.  Might not give them the cap room they are hoping for this summer, so they might be the first to balk.

Hinrich Wade Wright/Beasley Beasley/Frye Haslem/Frye  Bench: Wright, Chalmers, Diogu, Cook, Blount

Why Portland does it: They immediately solidify their SF position for this year and retain their cap space, although I’m not sold that Marion is a great fit for their style.

Blake Roy Marion Aldridge Pryzbilla     Bench: Bayless, Fernandez, Oden(until healthy), Outlaw, Webster, Batum.

Sounds like Luol was pretty awesome in helping the newly formed GB team qualify for Eurobasket next summer. Hopefully he comes out this season guns blazing.

Blog a Bull Hinrich & TT for Odom speculation

This is obviously just Hoopsworld making up trades to pass the time. I can't see why/how the Bulls would want to give up Hinrich and TT to get Lamar Odom and help the Lakers get Artest.

He breaks it down to a 3 team deal:

Bulls get: Odom
Kings get: TT, Farmar, Mihm
Lakers get: Hinrich, Artest

Probably more to make the numbers work.  Blech.  This trade "speculation" sucks.  I would hope IF we package Kirk and TT it would bring back a higher caliber player than Odom.

Joe (New Orleans): Who do you think the Hornets will pick up as freeagents?

SportsNation Chad Ford: I know they're looking at Ben Gordon. It's still unclear whether the Bulls will be willing to break the bank for Gordon ... the Hornets are over the cap so they'd have to workout a sign-and-trade to get him.

I don't really see how this will work from the Bulls perspective. NO can't sign Ben outright unless he goes for the mid-level, and the sign-and-trade opportunities aren't appealing either.

Great, let's draft this guy! I can already see Paxson at his press conference ridiculing him for pantsing VDN during a game. He talks about his "prank" with about :30 seconds left in the clip.

Blog a Bull Ben Wallace out for Heat game

From the tribune:

http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/fullcourtpress/2008/02/shorthanded-aga.html

Condolences to Ben for his loss.  On the flip side, this should(emphasis on should) insure that Tyrus and Joakim get a ton of burn, which is always a good thing.

Also, Thabo sat out of practice with a sore groin, probably from all of the BaB'ers who have been hanging on it in the last month.  J/K.

Blog a Bull New Trade Machine on ESPN

ESPN is demo-ing(?) their new Trade Machine through TrueHoop.  I had a chance to play around with it, and it's pretty cool.  It calculates the teams record after the trade is made, which is kind of hilarious.  I only tried a couple Corpse trades, but every team that recieved him ended up with a worse record.  Hilarious.  Here's the link:

Enjoy!

Blog a Bull Shaq told to be ready for a trade

ESPN is reporting that the Diesel has been informed that he may be traded this year.  Phoenix is the early rumor, with Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks going to Miami.  If Phoenix is even considering this deal, why not try to get involved and get rid of some bad contracts?  How about the following trade:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2456~885~2165~510~3009~580~614~933&tea ms=14~14~4~14~4~4~21~4&te=&cash=

Miami upgrades(arguably) at three positions for this year and the next(assuming Marion doesn't opt out), Phoenix gets the Diesel, and the Bulls get a PG prosepct and cap relief to help facilitate another trade possibly, because god forbid we ever pay the luxury tax.  Crazy, unlikely, but why not?
