Here is an interesting piece on www.espn.com. I personally have met Coach Nelson, and he is very impressive (and a good recruiter as well).

I always used to complain about defensive lapses and special teams play under Coach Petrino, particularly on the road. Apparently, this is at least one area of improvement.

I have always thought that Beano was a little nutso, but I have to agree completely with the following diatribe:

Why doesn't our commissioner want a playoff? Given that there are so many business aspects to the subject of a college football playoff, one never knows what he is thinking, but his position on the matter is very curious.

Except for his being wrong about there being seven teams, everything else in this piece seems reasonable.
