New Mexico State could be headed to the Sun Belt...
You know what that means...pretty soon the WAC is going to consist of just Idaho. LMAO. You almost have to feel bad for them, seeing how everybody has abandoned them.
Boise State beats TCU on last second free throw...
The Broncos are starting to make a habit out of winning games in the last second. Anthony Drmic sank a free throw with 0.9 seconds left to give Boise State a 65-64 win. The house was packed today and the atmosphere was awesome.
Names Change, But Beat Goes On in Boise
Good article by the Pre-Spap Read about Boise State continuing to lose assistant coaches.
Benson trying to convince Fresno, Nevada, and Hawaii to stay in the WAC
You know, I really hope that he is able to pull this off and the WAC, after losing battle after battle, finally wins the war against the Mountain West.
Boise State is #7 is BCS standings...
Heck yeah! Looking more and more likely we could go to a BCS bowl game.
UNLV suspends five players...
As if they didn't have enough problems this week, five UNLV players have been suspended for the game this Saturday.
The Rockets' three losses all came to BCS conference teams, with the Ohio State and Syracuse losses coming by a combined margin of eight points.
The Mountain West trying to blackmail Boise State into staying...
Just another reason to hate this hell hole that we trapped ourselves in. It's ridiculous how badly the Mountain West has treated us, especially considering we are their only hope of ever gaining an automatic bid. It kind of makes me miss the WAC and wish we had stayed there.
The Big East going after Boise?
Here's another source. What do you think? Would we seriously consider an offer to join the Big East? I, personally, would rather stay in the Mountain West. If we do join though, I suggest we do it on the condition that they change their name.
The Gators look like they could challenge for the Mountain West championship. Check that, Boise State’s in that conference. And nobody in the SEC East could handle the Broncos.
Gavins done for the season, will likely redshirt...
Well, at least cornerback is not a position we will be worrying about next year (that's about the only positive I could come up with). Another interesting nugget is that it was suggested that Dan Paul has a redshirt year available...
Resolution could be near for three Dutch football players in eligibility limbo
Kustra is implying that their could have been some booster involvement. Another interesting nugget is that all three players have individual cases, so the issue might not be as connected as we thought.
What is up with Scandrick?
I'm sure you guys have noticed this, but every time that Scandrick is a starter on Sunday Night Football, he says what high school he is from, not Boise State.
Middle Tennessee the next Boise State?
A very interesting article relating what Middle Tennessee is trying to do right now as it relates to Boise State's rise to prominence. I have always said that Boise State was built on smart scheduling.
Jon Wilner's AP Ballot
He has Boise State 2nd and TCU unranked. Seems about right.
The REAL reason Gene Bleymaier was fired...
Some guy at the Mountain West Connection discovered why Bleymaier was fired.

Not what the Broncos signed up for
Good article from a Wyoming writer about Boise State and the Mountain West.
Big Ten and Pac-12 are proposing a plus-one playoff
Finally. If this happens it would be awesome. Remember, Boise State has spent the majority of the last two years in the the Top 4.
Did 'Clean' Gene cause his own downfall?
When I first heard the news that Gene Bleymaier had been fired yesterday, I was completely shocked. My initial thought was that he had been made the scapegoat, the fall guy, for the NCAA violations. I've been thinking about it though, and it doesn't quite add up. For starters, Boise State doesn't really need a scapegoat because the violations weren't all that bad in the first place. Secondly, if they were going to make Gene the fall guy, wouldn't they have done it before the NCAA hearing. Thirdly, Kustra always seemed to have a lot of confidence in Gene but suddenly fired him because he no longer felt confident with him. Why the sudden turnaround? That got me to thinking, could it really be Bleymaier's own fault that he got canned?
Boise State hires TCU's director of compliance
This is very interesting timing.
Would Boise State win the SEC East?
What do you guys think? I believe they could win the SEC East but it definitely wouldn't be easy.
ESPN's Yards to Glory
ESPN is running a series on the greatest plays ever from every yard line. Although they did mix up Drisan James and Jerard Rabb, the Hook-and-Lateral is named the greatest 50 yard play of all time. Of course, in my humble opinion, this was the greatest play of all time.
Butler comparisons to Boise State are nice, but are they accurate?
This FanPost was promoted to the main feed. A million blogging points to you, BSU Guru. (Note: Blogging points are worth 1,000 Stanley Nickels.)
If you read any of the national championship coverage today you will notice one common theme: Butler is playing for all the small schools of the world. They are going to show everyone that it is possible for a small school with a small budget in any sport to make it to the big game and become champions. How inspirational. The movie is likely already in the works. Too bad it's just a load of crap. Butler may be playing for the underdogs of basketball, but they certainly aren't playing for the underdogs everywhere.
