So in searching through the blogs on SB Nation, I came across "Blogging the Bracket", a blog devoted to College Basketball. Once I saw this, I thought to myself, " I need to be a part of this." And here we are. I really appreciate the coverage this blog gives to all teams with a chance to make it to the field of 64.

But enough brown nosing, it's time to get to the point. This topic has probably bean beaten to death, and I haven't looked through the site enough, but I have a question. Are "The Calipari Years" in Kentucky going to be as dominant as I suspect? I mean, he's turning in one of the best recruiting classes in the nation in the span of about a month or two. When he has a couple tourney appearances under his belt there, can they be stopped?... Maybe I'm just clueless, but this seems somewhat interesting to me. Thank you for your time.

Tim Frazier Article

The Centre Daily Times has a pretty cool article about Strake Jesuit standout Tim Frazier in today's paper. Reading this makes me genuinely excited for next year's basketball season. I personally feel like the 2nd biggest thing we need to replace (after Cornley Smash of course) is the speed of Stanley Pringle. So it's reassuring to hear Frazier being talked about like this. I mean, we all know the kid is a tremendous athlete and has ridiculous hops, but the fact that he may be speedier than The Librarian is exciting.

My personal favorite quote from the article is this little tidbit from Frazier, which makes him look like a perfect fit to play in this PSU lineup:

“I’m definitely a pass-first, shoot-second type of guy,” he said. “I’m here to find the open man and make the correct passes and get open looks. ... Get a little ‘ooh-ahhs’ for the crowd, get the big men happy.”

I'm very excited about the basketball season...

however, basketball will have to wait... After all, there's only Jeff Hartings until PSU Football if I'm not mistaken.

You can read the entire article here.

Mock Draft for the Ages from ESPN.com

I was browsing ESPN.com and saw that they did a mock draft that includes every college player in the history of football. For the most part, it is a lot of what you would expect, with a bunch of players from U$C and tOSU. I found it kind of suprising that they had Orlando Pace going second.

But a few things struck me as very interesting. One of these being that Ki-Jana Carter is ranked as the 5th highest rated running back in the draft, with Curt Warner a little ways behind him.

And as the #1 linebacker in the draft, even ahead of Chuck Bednarik himself, is LaVar Arrington. That is correct, one of the many talented faces of Linebacker U. I assumed we would have at least one guy up in the ranks, but I really like the pick of LaVar at number 1.

I just thought this was interesting and figured I'd share it with anyone who may not have already read the article.

And to top it all off, here's some linkage for ya.

Mock Draft for the Ages Big Board
