Royals say Salvador Perez is ahead of schedule and should be back by the end of June, will most likely leave for Surprise to start practicing today.

The Blue Rocks have a pitching staff that has 290 strikeouts and just 101 walks in 305 and 2/3 innings. Good for a 2.9 k/bb ratio, and a 8.5 k/9 rate.

So the Tigers released a reliever because of a spring training game who has about the same WAR value as Blake Wood, (he walks less, strikes out more people, but overall is about the same, a tick below an average major league reliever.) He did not have options, but he was not arbitration eligible.
So if Blake Wood had a bad spring training game, and was out of options, should/would the Royals be able to get nothing for him, and would/should they just release him? Was this a bad move by the Tigers?

The Royals search for middle infield help continues.

So the Royals need a middle infielder that will not play very much. Why not use Anthony Seratelli? He plays every position and is a switch hitter.

The Royals have a canidate to pull off a rarity, a innings eating starter that is worth exactly 1 fWAR during a season! Luke Hochevar has a chance to pull off this near impossible feat! This should give Royals fans everywhere something to root for during another miserable losing season.

Looks like only one lefty and seven right handers in the Royals bullpen, the 40 man roster now is at 39 with Barrera on the 60 day DL.

Seattle will get three more games at home, only they will be the visitors as the rock band U2 wants the stadium and the Marlins have to play in Seattle.

As it turns out, Victor Marte set a all time major league record.

"In the history of major league baseball, going back to when a "veteran" referred to someone who had fought in the Civil War, no pitcher had ever won 3 or more games, while going undefeated, with an ERA above 8. Until now."

Right now in the lead for the sixth and seventh spots are
Osuna 7 to 3, Hughes 3 to 2, and in third is Parrish coming in at 2 to 3 odds.
Locks are Soria, Cruz, Tejeda, Colon, and Farnsworth. (If he is not starting which would open up another space).

After the expected massaging, with the most important idea being to have the best AAA bullpen as possible, is to make the bullpen look like this.

Closer - Soria
Primary Setup man - Colon
Situaltional lefty - Parrish
others - Farnsworth, Tejeda, Cruz, Osuna

Your thoughts on this massage? Is having a good Omaha staff more important then having the best relievers possible in KC?

Dutton keeps tweeting and writing that the Rockies are trying to get Cruz from the Royals and he thinks that the Royals would have to eat part of his contract. He also wrote that the Royals are? or should be? interested in the deal.
