Born in Miami,Fl. in 1960 but relocated to St. Pete,Fl. during my early childhood where no sports teams existed at the time. I watched my first football game with my dad "Raiders vs. Jets". As a youngster I saw a long haired QB with white shoes and a cool facemask and that team had all the tools(O-Line,QB,RB/FB,WR/TE and an excellent "D"). I decided to root for The Jets although I did like the sound of the other QB's nickname "The mad bomber". Historians will know this was the game that was pre-empted for "Heidi" and in a game that was all but over the Raiders won in the final minutes. The networks changed thier rules and no longer pre-empt NFL games and The Jets went on to win SB3 defeating The Raiders along the way in the AFC championship game. I remained a fan for the past 40+ years and at the age of 51, can't wait another 40. I am retired and live in Vero Beach, Fl. where a large number of Jet fans reside as well. I watch every Jet Game via sattelite with my wife on "Sunday Ticket", but the past couple years more times than not the games have been available locally. I see a good young core of players being developed and since Woody Johnson bought the team I have been more optomistic. I think Rex Ryan has a great coaching staff for the most part and although the early success may have slowed the process of reaching the ultimate goal he is building a monster.
