I was born and raised in the Garden State and I pay my sports allegiance to the 'Burgh. My dad hails from Latrobe and the 70's was a good time for him to sit me down and say, "son, these are my teams..." As I navigated through elementary aschool trying to fit in and maintain some type of individualality, I found Pittsburgh sports to be that difference maker. I wasn't all that unique. I was a working class white kid in a pretty diverse working class neighborhood along the Jersey Shore (we just called it the beach) and I knew I wanted to be a little different from the crowds of Yankee-Met-Giant-Jet-Ranger fans. Pittsburgh gave me that opportunity. I am stilll nuts about all three teams and habve developed quite an admiration for Pitt as well, since so many of my cousins have attended. My 1st live game was in '76 at Three Rivers and I've been a lunatic ever since. I've been fiollowing you folks here for about the last coule of years and I now make it a daily stop.
