Mexican Giant Fan, who in spite of massive dallas media coverage in the 80's in Mexico became a Giant fan in 1984 thanks to LT.
Going to college in Arizona (Tucson) in the 90's, I managed to go every year to sun devil stadium to watch the GMEN play the lousy cardinals.
Now living in sunny Cabo San Lucas, Mex. (and no, I did not see Romo or Jessica here), but I did try to crash at Eli's wedding.
I also became a Knick fan back in the 80's around the time Kenny walker won the slam dunk contest (when it was watchable)
a fan of
St. Louis Cardinals
New York Knicks
New York Giants
Arizona Wildcats
Arizona Wildcats

I found this Gem on You Tube.
Most of you probably remember it, I surely do, that was the last game the late Wellington Mara saw.
Who knew back then that Eli would gives two Super Bowls!

to be a Giant fan
Hello I have been a member of the Big Blue View blog since 2007, I do not write or comment that often but I do read what you post and write and after seeing many of the members write their opinion of their own I though that someday I should write something too. Well I guess this is the day.
I was reading this morning on espn three article by three different writers debating who is America's team, the Packers, the Steelers and the Cowboys, and I really think neither the Steelers and the Packers want to be named America's team, they just dislike (like the rest of us) that the Cowboys are given that name. (Noting that I am not an American but I still dislike them for that)
Right now there are articles all over the web regarding the Steelers and the Packers and how they are one of the better franchises because of their history, and sometimes I get upset because the Giants have history too and they do not get the same attention or credit. I love the Giants history and how they were purchased by Tim Mara and I love all those old stories about the Polo grounds and how the Giants helped other teams sharing the revenue so they can succeed as well.
I know our New York Giants are not the most loved franchised, but neither they are the most hated, but reading all those stories about those fan bases (Steelers and Packers) and how they are branded as the best there is only one thing I can say about that. I'm 38 years old, I was born and raised in Mexico, and is almost a Miracle that I am a New York Giant, here among my generation the most loved franchises are in no particular order Dallas, Pittsburgh, Miami, San Francisco and Raiders; Why? because TV showed their games more than any other team, plus those teams won some super bowls in the 70's and 80's.
I got the opportunity to go to College in Arizona, so I feel grateful that I was able to watch the Giants every time they came to play the lousy cardinals, sometimes there were more Giant Fans that Cardinal fans.
Up to this day I have not found another Giant fan in my country, I am not saying there is no one else, is jut I have not found him or her yet. (after 2007 some claim to be "true" Giant fans, but I quickly dismissed them after I asked them to name 5 different starting QBs in the 90's, they all failed), so being the "lone" Giant fan here does not make me feel bad, but prouder, because I am not a sold out for TV ratings in the 70's and 80's, because I did not let myself influenced by marketing or others, and because I am unique rooting for the Giants where I have no business rooting for them; and perhaps this happen in other countries too, so for you Giant fans living in the US feel prouder too, because this apply everywhere I guess, feel proud for any Giant fan living abroad, we may not be that many, but we are a select group, we are the New York Giant fans,
