Born at an early age in Minnesota.
Born in Minnesota and a Viking fan from birth. Moved to Nebraska at the age of 11, so that makes me a Huskers fan by the grace of God!
It is my opinion that the NFL has a vendetta against the Williams, and the entire Minnesota defensive line due to the Starcaps fiasco. Goodell needs to just drop it already.

Longtime Friends, Greg Childs and Jarius Wright, Hope to Be Drafted in the NFL.
Well, they got drafted...by the same team. Incredible story about two life long friends!
Shaun Hill's Father Passes Away
During the 2003 preseason, I was able to make a trip to Kansas City to watch the Chiefs and the Vikings play while Shaun Hill was playing for the Vikings. Shaun Hill's Father was the one who made the arrangements for the bus and the tickets to go see the game. This is the only Viking game I've ever attended, so for that I am grateful. My condolences go out to Shaun Hill and his family.
Did I Really Hear That?
Last night as I was listening to the radio broadcast of the game at Husker.com, I heard this little gem:
"It looks like Cody Green and Zac Lee are warming each other up on the sideline..."
Did anyone else hear that? I had to shake my head in disbelief and chuckle after I heard it and wonder if anybody else heard it the same way that I did. The mental image that I got in my head was not something I wanted to even think about! LMAO!
Ndamukong Suh
I don't know about the rest of you, but the idea of Favre facing this guy twice this year scares the living crap out of me. As a Huskers fan, I loved the guy but now I have to hate him for at least two weeks out of the year.
Should Suh be fined heavily for this, or even suspended? I'm sure a fine is on it's way but I'm skeptical about a suspension.
Fran Tarkenton: "The Ultimate Choke Artist!"
So I read in todays Pioneer Press, that Fran Tarkenton is blaming the NFC Championship game loss on Brett Favre's last interception.
It kind of pisses me off. Yes, Favre should have just run with the ball on that last play, but that play in and of itself did not lose the game. As best even if Favre runs with the ball, we're still looking at about a 50 yard field goal. Well within Longwell's range, but not exactly a gimme either.
Peterson coughed up the ball up inside the 5 yard line right before the half. Scoring opportunity lost. Favre threw an interception in Saints territory, that by an NFL officials admission should have come back. Scoring opportunity LOST. Bernard Berrian fumbled inside the Saints 10 yard line. Scoring opportunity LOST! Let's not forget about Harvin's fumble that led to a Saints Touchdown.
Just those turnovers right there potentially represent a 28 point swing in favor of the Vikings, in a game that was tied 28-28 at the end of regulation. Even if the Vikings had only kicked field goals on those possessions in Saints territory and we give the Saints the TD as a result of Harvin's fumble, Minnesota still wins going away. Don't blame the whole thing on one bad play by Favre, Tarkenton!
When you want to look at bad play, just take a look at Fran Tarkenton's Super Bowl statistics:
3 games, 89 attempts, 46 completions, 489 yards, 1 TD, and 6 INT's. QB rating of 44. Actually, Fran had two TD passes in Super Bowls. Unfortunately one of them went to Willie Brown of the Raiders in Super Bowl XI. I remember that one very well!
But it doesn't just end there. Fran was just plain old awful in playoff games, period! That the Vikings ever won a single playoff game with him at the helm, is a miracle in itself.
Fran Tarkenton never played in a playoff game with the Minnesota Vikings that he did not throw an interception. 11 playoff games as a Viking and in every single game he threw an interception. He threw a total of 16 in his 11 playoff games as a Viking, as opposed to 10 TD's.
His totals for his 11 games as a Viking in the playoffs including the 3 Super Bowls?
292 attempts, 149 completions, 1803 yards, 10 TD's and 16 INT's for a QB rating of 59. No, you didn't read that wrong. A 59!
I for one, hope that Favre can find it in him to come back for one more year, win a Super Bowl, and tell Fran to "Shut the hell up!".
That's all I have for now,
The BaldViking, Out!
McKinnie During Game Winning TD.
Has anybody commented on Bryant McKinnie letting his guy go right by him and just standing there hopelessly watching as Manny Lawson pursued Brett Favre? Completely ridiculous! Earlier in the game, Favre completed a pass to Berrian (Who was looking Troy Williamson like for most of the game) and ran down the field to throw a block to try to spring him.
Now, we have a man who is paid millions of dollars every year, who's only job on this particular play is to make sure that nobody gets to the QB, and on the biggest play of the game, he just stands there and watches as Lawson gets dangerously close to Favre. If Favre had waited another half a second, Lawson would have hit his arm, and the TD, and the win, never happen.
I'm so sick of this overpaid, lazy putz!
Some Info Needed
First of all, a little about me: I was born in Minnesota and grew up watching the Vikings play and I'm still a Viking fan to this day.
In the summer of 1976, when I was eleven years old, my Dad moved our whole family to central Nebraska so he would be closer to his work. That fall I discovered college football. I didn't know college football even existed up until that point. I, as well as the rest of the family, soon became typical Nebraska fans. We moved from Nebraska in '82 but we took the Huskers with us and despite living in seven different states since, we've remained faithful Huskers fans to this day.
I've been to one Red-White game, back in '77 (Remember I.M. Hipp? We mobbed him at midfield after the game. I was one of the first to get there!) and I saw the Huskers play Auburn in '81.
My sister, who has also stayed faithful to the Huskers, married a man last October, who also happens to be a lifelong Huskers fan despite being born and raised in southeast Kansas. His Mom was from Hastings originally though, so that helps to explain things a bit as she was also a huge Huskers fan.
Since they've gotten married, they've had a run of just awful luck. Back in March, their house burnt up in a fire. They got some possessions out, but several family heirlooms from both sides of the family were lost. Then in June, his Mom was found in her house unconscious. She was in a coma for several days and passed away on June 13th.
Neither of them has been to a Nebraska game, so for their wedding last year, I was going to get them tickets, but couldn't afford them. About a month back, I started thinking about what a crappy first year of marriage they've had so far, thought about the Huskers tickets thing again, and decided to put some money away to get them tickets. I got them two tickets to the Sept. 26th game against Louisiana-Lafayette. I'm going to surprise him (I had to include my sister in on this because I had to find out his work schedule, as it's a kind of a funky schedule!) today with the news.
Sorry for the long story but I wanted to go into why I'm doing what I'm doing.
Here are my questions: The tickets are section 3, row 47. I've looked at a Memorial Stadium diagram and know about where they will be, but are the seats pretty decent? Also, what about parking, places to stay, etc. Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated.
