Dearest Red Sox Nation,

On behalf of all Baltimore Orioles fans, I would like to take this blog post to personally thank you for your visit to Oriole Park at Camden Yards during the April 30th – May 2nd series defeat of your beloved Red Sox.

Though I am aware that a great number of your loud mouthed fans come from within the local areas of Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or anywhere other than Massachusetts, I would like to thank those fans that spent their hard earned money on Baltimore’s fine dining, hotels and of course your tickets to the beautiful home of the Orioles, Camden Yards.

You helped fund local businesses while watching your team be defeated by the talents of Miguel Tejada, Nick Markakis, Matt Wieters and the entire Orioles roster......

Despite the Terps‘ long trek out west for the NCAA tournament, Fox Sports 1370’s Gabe Pinkney is out in Spokane Washington to deliver the latest on Maryland basketball. BSR had a chance to catch up with Gabe and discuss Maryland’s feelings after defeating the Houston Cougars and how the Terps plan to move forward with a tough game against Michigan State.

I was covering the Baltimore Mariners football game for BSR and ran into Nestor Aparicio at the arena. We talked about the game, but he also gave me his insights on the Orioles. Check out his comments around the 2:00 mark.

I’ll admit, when the Ravens signed Donte Stallworth I was left scratching my head. "I sure hope that he isn’t their answer at wide receiver," I told fellow Ravens fans. Then Baltimore made a big splash and reached out to Arizona to grab Anquan Boldin. Somewhere, days later, Anita Marks is still doing a victory dance. Yesterday, Jeff Pilson and I talked about the likelihood of Derrick Mason returning to Baltimore and I’ve got to admit, he nailed it. Last night the Ravens signed Mason to a 2 year deal. When I heard the news one thought ran through my mind, "No excuses in 2010."

Just got the press release.

"It will be great to be back in the booth with Gary Thorne and Jim Hunter, and to be contributing my insights to MASN’s first-rate production."

Thoughts?

The Baltimore Ravens made one of the big splashes of the off-season by trading for WR Anquan Boldin, sending a clear sign that they are serious about strengthening a position of weakness.

Hey all,

I just wanted to let you know that we are giving away a Joe Flacco bobblehead at BaltimoreSportsReport.com. These are the same bobbleheads that were on sale during training camp at BP stations.

To win, all you have to do is leave a comment here and we'll pick one random winner Friday. Any comment will do, thus far everyone is "wacco for flacco", so be creative!

Good luck and Go Ravens, Brady Quinn and the Browns are coming to town... Can you say 3-0?

Baltimore is 7-19 since the All Star break, a season high 20 games under .500, and hasn’t won a series since before the break.

It’s been sloppy, tough to watch, and my only question is "why?" What is going on in Birdland?

Don’t be fooled by the Orioles. Their second half might not mean jack to anyone in the east or the AL altogether, but this may be one of the most important second halves Baltimore has been a part of in over a decade. They’re not going to win the division, they’re not going to win a wild card, I don’t even think they’ll finish .500. But their finish this season is incredibly important.

Are the O's going through the motions? I couldn't figure out what's been going wrong since the break, but they're driving me away from baseball before August even begins!

’ve gotta tell you that this subject is really eating me up. I was a huge Steve McNair fan during his two years in Baltimore and I respected and feared him during his 11 years in Tennessee. He was a great competitor and out an outstanding quarterback.

It’s been one hell of a week and honestly this is the first athlete I was a fan of and had watched personally that has passed away.

Without the momentum from a series win against Boston the O's must travel to a land in which they have not succeeded. We take a look at the match ups.

Have you ever seen Luke Scott write in his journal after a plate appearance? BSR got lucky enough to take a look at his latest entry and we’re going to share it with you here.

The dream began for shortstop Robert Andino on August 4, 2002, as he signed with the Florida Marlins and kicked off his minor league career. He was expected to be the future at the middle-infield position, his stellar defense and slap-hitting style carrying him to the pros. This dream became a reality, as he reached the majors in 2005; however, the fantasy for the youngster was soon to be a nightmarish career. On November 24, 2005, the Fish traded Josh Beckett, Mike Lowel, and Guillermo Mota to the Red Sox for up-and-coming star Hanley Ramirez.

During the 2008 NFL season, it was referred to as "The Three-Headed Monster." This trio of distinct running backs, each possessing a unique set of skills, helped lead a rebuilding Baltimore Ravens’ offense to an 11-5 record and an AFC Championship Game.

I’ve seen plenty of these same situations when the worst fans in baseball travel south to Baltimore. They took their douche baggery a little further south this year.

Check out this video of a Yankee dad fighting right in front of his hysterical daughter on father’s day.

The problem with the MLB All Star game is that the New York, Boston, and LA fans sit at home with 45 email addresses and vote for only their players.

Well today I’m hoping to start a campaign that will help Baltimore’s true All Stars.

Below are embeddable images that can be added to your website, blog, myspace, or whatever that links to the MLB All Star game ballot.

Let’s get Charm City’s players at the Mid-Summer Classic in St. Louis.

VOTE O!

When the Orioles traveled to New York to be swept by the Yankees the Orioles’ broadcasters reported that the Mets might be interested in trading for Aubrey Huff.

Huff-Daddy has told reporters that he wants to stay in Baltimore, he left Tampa Bay when they were rebuilding and he feels that the O’s are on a similar path to success.
