Urban Meyer resigned, as Florida's head coach, earlier today. He will coach Florida in the Sugar Bowl but that will be his last game coaching the Gators. The people on Jox said it was due to health problems. Kirk Herbstreit said he talked to Meyer today & that it is due to health related problems but it's nothing life-threatening. I was wanting to get yalls take on this. Is it more than Herbie said? Can Meyer not take the stress of coaching major college football? Or, my personal favoorite, does Meyer just know he was never going to beat Coach Saban?

Urban Meyer is scheduled for a press conference, from Louisiana, sometime tomorrow.

Wow! I can't believe the "Wild Elephant" was the very first play we ran! It didn't impress me that much though. I know Star Jackson isn't as powerful of a downhill runner as Ingram but I think it may work better if Star did it simply because he adds the passing threat into the equation. I may be way off but it seems logicle to me! What do yall think?

Was anyone impressed with Trent Richardson, the few times he got the ball? I sure was! He kept getting hit at the line but somehow he managed to get yards. That is one powerful "man!" If he were to be going one-on-one with a db, he would run slap through him!

Ingram & Upchurch also run well! Ingram had a career high 150 yards with 2 TD's & Upchurch did great! Until he fumbled!

Our D was outstanding besides a few mental & poise errors. With all of the hype surrounding this unit, they lived up to the billing in my eyes!

Has everyone been keeping up with the recruiting for 2010? This is the first year that I've started watching it, this early, & I'm a little confused! Although we have many commitments thus far, the quality of the recruits don't seem to be that great. There aren't any 5-star commitments and only 1 of them is a 4-star. The other 6 aren't rated..  I know alot of the "big" guys hold off on committing until the end but schools like Florida (1 5-star, 7 4-star, & 2 not ranked)& Texas (10 4-star) seem to be rolling in the "big" names!  (According to Rivals) I know Coach Saban will get alot of the guys he wants & it is still real early but is this the way it normally is? ROLL TIDE!!!!!

Hey everyone! Kickoff is not too far off. I dont know about yall but it cant get here fast enough! I'm not 100% sure that this is true but I received a text message from one the advertisements that appears on the jumbotron during the games. It says the 2009 & 2010 Iron Bowls will be played on Fridays. This years is on 11/27 at 1:30 on CBS.. Has anyone seen this anywhere else? I don't like this idea & I hope it's not true but I'm afraid it is!! If this is true, does anyone know why they have changed it to Fridays? There is just something in my head that puts Alabama Football & Saturdays together! Especially THE IRON BOWL!!!! But anyhow, ROLL TIDE!!!!!!

Hey to ALL my Bama family! I hate to post something that dont really have anything to do with Alabama sports but I have a problem. Every time I try to Log in, it says I've entered an invalid password but I am entering the correct password. I have to send an email to my email address then wait for an email etc...     After an absolutely amazing year in 2008, all Tide fans have high standards for 2009. We didn't lose many players but the ones we did lose, were at crucial positions. Going into 2009 we need to rebuild the offensive line, decide on a quarterback & runningback, & find a safety. The defense should only get better but the offense has big shoes to fill. With that said, what do yall think 2009 will have in store for the Tide? I think it'll be another good year because the most important person is returning, Coach Saban!!! But for it to be a great year, these positions will be a critical factor! Only time will tell, but until then, predictions are always fun! ROLL TIDE!!!
