Record: 23-23. Pace: 81-81. Change on last season: +3
Okay, so going into this game I thought Liriano was going to DESTROY us. While he didn't; he still did pretty good. Also, a little disclaimer. This is my first recap and it's probably horrific so I apologize in advance.
Dbacks Sign Xavier Nady
The Dbacks have just signed Xavier Nady to a 1 year deal for 1.75 million according to MLBTR
http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2010/12/diamondbacks-agree-to-deal-with-xavier-nady.html
I Like this signing, 1.75 mill isn't a whole lot of money for a guy who could potenially have a great year here in Phoenix. It seems that Towers is continuing his trend of signing Player from back in San Diego.
So long Augie and thanks for all the Fish.
As confirmed by Nick Piecoro via his blog on AZCentral http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/NickPiecoro/109213, the Diamondbacks have chosen to non-tender Arizona's resident dwarf Augie Ojeda. During his four-year career with the Snakes, Ojeda posted a slash line of .243 / .334 / .317 (an OPS+ of 69 over the span). He had been re-signed on a year-by-year basis each season since he first arrived in Arizona in 2007, but his poor performance in the 2010 campaign (.190 / .258 / .228, OPS+ 31, -0.6WAR) - along with the signing of utilityman Geoff Blum - landed him on the list of expendables.
So long Augie and thanks for all the Scrappiness :)

Diamondbacks Designate Dontrelle Willis for Assignment
Source: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2010/07/dbacks-designate-dontrelle-willis-for-assign
According to the article they have DFA'd D-train to bring up Norberto. I'll miss him I was really hoping he could turn it around out here in AZ. Oh man, what a fall from grace for Mr.Willis 2003 rookie of the year, to being DFA'd twice in one year ouch! Well when there is good news, I guess there is some bad news, but I don't know if this constitutes as bad news.
More analysis from snakecharmer:
Dontrelle Willis started off well with Arizona, throwing 6 shutout innings in his first start June 5th. But he continued to have problems with his control, walking 27 batters in 21 1/3 innings as a starter. He was then moved to the bullpen and allowed 3 earned runs in last night's blowout to the Dodgers.
Jordan Norberto started the season with the big league club as the team's only lefty reliever. He was used sparingly - only 3 total innings in 6 games. He allowed 3 runs in 2/3rds of an inning in San Diego for his only rough outing. According to Steve Gilbert on Twitter, Norberto is already in the clubhouse, so he should be available this afternoon.
Ian Kennedy
Hi guys I am a member over at the Arizona Snakepit and I was wondering what your guys thought on Ian Kennedy were
I amm hoping he will be a effective number 4 because god knows the Dbacks need it. What can we expect from him? What do you think his ceiling is? I would really appreciate your guys opinions on this thanks in advance. I hope the Yankees have a good season. Maybe we can see a repeat of 01?
Yankees Release Chad Gaudin
Come on JB go out there and sign him.
Yankees place Chad Gaudin on waivers.
Maybe we will pick him up.
