Windy City Gridiron Will this continue to be a problem both on offense and defense

The last two games have been bad, and have been losses. I wont get into that but, what I will get into is the fact that I am noticing our team is having a hard time against talented tight ends. Last week it was Graham and this week Finley. They reason I am a little concerned is we play ever more talented tight ends look no further than this week we play Greg Olsen of the panthers. If we continue to have Steltz ATTEMPT to cover these type of tight ends this will result in squirrels being punted.

looks like the bears are adding another talented player to their defensive line.

Kev's Update: As of 11:19pm CT, the Examiner link is quoting ESPN, but there's no mention of it at ESPN. Rumor for now, kids.

Bearlovin21 apologies:My bad guys! looks like i jumped the gun on this one! still a rumor as of now

Rosenhaus sent an email to all GMs stating the talented tight end is available, then sends another one saying ignore that email? What do you all think?

Editor's note: Sean Jensen says Bears ARE shopping Olsen.

Roach like many of us does not agree with Jones saying Urlacher is not a top 10 LB in the game.

Since 2000 , Urlacher is the only player in the league to record 40-plus sacks and 15-plus interceptions.

11 months ago My_idols_tiny Bear Lovin 21 12 comments

well atleast in his opinion, he has never made a probowl. He is not even the best LB on his own team with Rivers and Mauluga and Pacman Jones is the more talented Jones.

Some people are just fools.

If you follow me on twitter you probably saw my angry tweets at jones lol

Well according to yahoo is, nothing to get worked up over the list includes guys like MJD, Thomas Jones and even Steven Jackson

Windy City Gridiron Happy THISISTHEDAYWEGOTJAYCUTLER Day

This day two years ago the Chicago Bears broke the bank and made one of the boldest moves in the history of the franchise. The constant position of need for the Bears had been the most important one on the field, and then all of a sudden a dream came true. A 25-year-old gifted QB fresh off a Pro Bowl was available for trade.

Windy City Gridiron My look back on the 2010 Regular Season

Its been a hell of a season, some ups and downs but, mostly ups. I did a bit a review of the season for our Bears.  It’s a bit long but I hope you like it!

Preseason- Are you kidding me? With all the new acquisition and coaches we lay a goose egg? Yes preseason doesn’t matter but would that be a omen to what the season would look like? With the Packers and Vikings coming off impressive campaigns and the lions rapidly improving many thought this meant the Bears were headed for 4th place.

After the Jump we see what the regular season had in store!

Windy City Gridiron We won the DIVISION!!!!!! PLAYOFFFS!!!!!!

Looks like we surprised many a people. Many said this team would finish in fourth place, many said that Peppers wasn’t enough, many said Urlacher was over the hill, well my friends many were wrong.

Windy City Gridiron Week 12 reaction

All that trash they talked was not backed up by their  team.

The Bears won this game when they stepped onto the field.

Jay Cutler- DEADLY accurate made some great plays, the little flick to forte on 3rd and short as he was being brought down by the eagles and the throw over the head of ernie sims to hester.

Windy City Gridiron 3 in a row!!!!!! Reactions on the thursday night party!

We won again, wait a minute!!!!! We won 3 straight after a bye?!?!?

Wait a minute! we ran the ball? We beat a good team on the road? Our O-line for once opened holes our runningbacks not the other teams defense.

Follow me after the jump!

ATTENTION NFL! THE CHICAGO BEARS ARE 4-1 on the road!

Hogs Haven Ask/chat with a Bears fan

Good morning, Redskins fans. Bearlovin 21 coming to say hi! chicka chicka yeaaaaah!

Just a visitor from the Windy City Gridiron coming over to chat about the upcoming game and just talk some football in general.

I actually live in the DC area so I always follow the Skins and am happy to see them improve and I have alot of freinds who are giving me hard time about the Bears offensive line (who can blame them?) and cant wait to see Orackpo let loose against our line.

I am here for any questions you have but i have a couple for you as well.

Windy City Gridiron Is the help for offense already on the team?

Olsen-out-of-reach-eagles_medium

Even before the Seattle game and before the New York nightmare what were the biggest concerns for us bear fans at least on offense? Ok, not that one( OLINE) but rather than the obvious is one it had to be our performance on 3rd down and in the red zone. It always seemed whether we backed our selves into a third and long or were only inches away from a fresh set of downs we just could not convert.

This year one of the plus’s in the red zone has been no interception by jay and at the very least we do come away with field goals which is good, but we cannot settle for field goals because those 3 pts will keep elite teams like the Jets, Pats and even good teams like Miami and Philly in the ball game (oh we play them soon). We cant punch it in to the end zone because our O-line gets punched in the mouth on the way to the stadium. We cant keep out QB up right for milliseconds because of this line. So how do we move the chains and score 6?

Windy City Gridiron Week 6 reactions

Air out your frustrations fellow Bear fans. The o line once again proved to be the weak link allowing Jay to be sacked a terrible 6 times.

The defense held their own and made the stops when needed but could not come up with the turnover.

No excuse for all the missed tackles i think many people including myself didnt realize how big of a loss briggs was.

Charles Tillman needs to be moved, i love the guy but he falls down WAY too much and this will cost us more and more.

Peppers was humble a bit by Okung, but this is where someone else needs to step up and help!

Offense.......smh

Windy City Gridiron Week 5 reactions Thread

So the bears CAN run the ball if the runningback is not hit in the backfield.

As always i just point out my quick thoughts and wait for yours.

Some quick thoughts:

Offense

Collins Sucks!

Forte still has the ability to make big plays as shown on his runs.

Anyone catch the stiff arm Forte put on Jon Beason?=OWNAGE

Collins absolutely sucked, had Hanie started we may have scored 30-40, with cutler this game could have gotten UGLY for Carolina.

Collins BLOWS

Defense was AWESOME.

Carolina had a good opening drive but Brian Urlacher and the boys reminded them whos the boss.

#54 is back people.

Peppers int made me fall in love.

Izzy/Wooten looked to be much better than Anderson/Izzy.

Tommie Harris- please comeback! =(

Special Teams- Hester almost had one

Danieal Manning is a violent returner.

Although he was quite, this game was clearly controlled by Greg Olsen

talk away!

Skins and Packers just about to kick off OT

GO SKINS!

I saw this article on Bleacher Report and it really made me think.

As my buddy Midway posted i think if theres a hint cutler is not full go then he should sit this week and Hanie go and manage the offense to a 10-3 win.

thoughts?

Windy City Gridiron Tommie Harris....what to do?

I couldn't help it. I have seen all the other posts and needed to get my 2 cents in.

Tommie Harris was once a staple of this defense along with Urlacher, Briggs, Mike Brown etc etc. Now he has fallen off and since 2007 hasn’t been the frightening force he once was. Injuries have been blamed for this but how long can that ride? I personally thought Tommie would be a big contributor now that we have peppers but alas he is not. So I hear many people that want to trade him. There is another Defensive tackle that seems to be troubled with his current situation and you may be familiar with him, Albert Haynesworth. Would you do a straight up Harris for Haynesworth trade? Peppers and Haynesworth? if he comes to play this could be a deadly combo. Maybe they both just need a change of scenery. Do you look for draft picks? Do we take Tommie and a 3rd rounder and ship him for Logan "Da Mauler" Mankins? Cut him?

Windy City Gridiron Week 3 Reaction Thread

We won!

Can we get our respect now?

Urlacher/Briggs NFL Defensive player of the year?

Greg Olsen? He blocked matthews, Made a SPECTACULAR catch, and scored another TD.

What a play by Urlacher to make that Turnover

Windy City Gridiron Week 2 Reaction Thread

What a game! Started out scary with all the hits on Cutler and losing Williams looked to spell doom but the line did a great job in giving Cutler time in my opinion.

Cutler once again showed when given time he is an elite Qb in this league.

The defense is back. Urlacher makes a huge difference.

Olsen made a catch which made my day.

Dj Moore- Sucks, hes too small, hes too short get him out of here!(sarcasm)

Hester and Knox looked excellent.

Once again what happened with DA? Was he injured or something? Good to see Earl the Pearl back on the field.

What are your thoughts?!??!?

BEAR DOWN!
