Who is going to be returning punts this season?  Jaymar is out, we just traded Reynaud and I haven't seen anything special from any of the other guys.  I guess Young had a few decent returns but nothing special.  This move makes absolutely no sense to me.  I wouldn't be surprised if they sit Harvin on kick returns this year either.  It seems like we usually give extra consideration for special teamers.  Anyone have any incite?

Is he OK?  Saw him go out but did not get any audio on the Vikes game at the bar.  Any news on him?  Would hate to lose him he has looked awesome so far.

Glen Holt, that is.  I am guessing this is our new return man.  This post was meant to be disappointing, but he looks like he could be a solid addition to the team.  I think most of his career highlights are kick coverage and returns.  As we all know, Vikes special teams couldn't get any worse.  He had a 24.1 kick return average last year.

Vikings coach Brad Childress said Friday that Gus Frerotte will compete for the starting quarterback job with Tarvaris Jackson if Frerotte returns for another season.

This again? Childress is reprising Lovie Smith's Groundhog Day routine where he wakes up every year with the same sad sack quarterback holding a contending team hostage. Though Childress isn't ruling out Jackson as next year's starter, we're hoping he comes to his senses in the next couple of months
