Why we Lost - AKA Don't Blame The Defense
When a defense gives up 31 points and allows and an atrocious 11/15 third down conversion percent it is easy to point the finger and spit out all of the cliché lines we have heard on this sight. "Crennel is overrated!" "We need better pass rushers!" etc. However after looking at the big picture I think that the defense did enough for us to win this game. I know it sounds crazy but let me point out a couple things.
I don't think were giving enough credit to Tamba Hali
Tamba Hali sacked Todd Collins for a safety to solidify a win for us Today. When the Redskins took the field I honestly thought they had a legit shot at scoring a last second touchdown. I mean look at all of our past games, we have found ways to lose games when we were sure to win. Hali's sack was SO BIG for us because it was the first time in a long time that our team made the big play that finished off our opponent. Look at games like Tampa Bay and (2nd) San Diego game of last year, and even the Oakland game this year. The chiefs never closed out those games and we ended up giving the other teams a chance back into the game and win. Not today. With 25 sec left I thought, please don't let this happen again, not another last second collapse like so many times before. But when I saw Todd Collins go down in the endzone I was screaming, WE ACTUALLY WON THE GAME IN THE 4TH QUARTER. That is why I believe the game ball should be split between Succup and Hali, because without that sack to ensure the win who knows what could of happened. If the Redskins did score a last second TD then all of those field goals by Succup wouldn't matter.
Plus I am really impressed in general with our pass rush. We had three sacks today, wow I haven't said something like that since the days of Jarred Allen. Let's look at Tamba Hali's stats for this season, 3 sacks, 2 FF, and 1 safety. He may not be getting alot of sacks but dam, when he does get a sack he makes them count in a big way.

AP wants me to wear my Chiefs jersey to the Eagles game
This is a follow up to my earlier post where I asked the AP community if I should where my LJ chiefs jersey to the Eagles game, and it looks like you guys want me to wear my jersey to the game (68 Yes and 14 no). Even though I said you guys could decide, my dad told me a troubling story about how some guy wearing an opposing Jersey at an Eagles game a while ago was beaten to death by four drunk Eagles fans after a game. I'm not sure if that is entirely true or not because my Dad is really over protective and he also doesn't realize that I'm twenty and I can take care of myself. So I'm not sure if I'm going to wear it or not. I'm not interested in dying... I'll post pics of the game either way.
GOOO CHIEFS!!!
PS - remember that one post earlier last week where the Raiders fan stabbed the Chargers fan with a shank?

My first Kansas City Chiefs Game
Hello everyone, I'm a chiefs fan reporting from Philadelphia. That's right; a Chiefs fan living in the city of brotherly love. I just got off the phone with my buddy and he is willing to sell me his season tickets to the Eagles game on September 27th when the chiefs come to town. I have been waiting a long time for the chiefs to come to Philly and now they are finally here.
If you are wondering why I am a chiefs fan and not an Eagles fan, it is actually a long boring story. Basically the Chiefs are my number one team and I root for the eagles from time to time. That brings me to a tough decision I have to make. Should I wear my #27 Larry Johnson jersey at the game? I am not ashamed of the chiefs by any means, however I do not trust the Philadelphia fans. I don't want to get booed/ get beer thrown at me at the game. I just want to see my team live in action like Matt Cassel(assuming he is gonna play), Larry Johnson, Dwayne Bowe, etc. So I thought I would leave it up to you guys here at AP. Should I wear my Chiefs jersey and root for my team or go neutral.
PS - I will take pictures and post them after the game in another fan post to prove whether I wore it or not.
Chiefs lose big lead late in the game (What a surprise)
Kansas city never ceases to amaze me. Every week they seem to build up hope by gaining a lead early then losing it in the second half.
