While watching NFL gameday final tonight, Deon mentioned Crab's signing on two separate occasions. While showing  the Niners/Rams highlights, Deon said "not yet" when Rich Eison did his "touchdown to crabtree" joke.  Then said "Its in the works" or something along those lines. During his top 10 countdown he pretty much said it again.

I also noticed the Niners using the WR bubble screen in todays game vs. the Rams. That was Crabtrees bread and butter play in Texas Techs spread offense. I have no idea if negotiations are still not happening, but could crabtree be using deon again to try and send a message? Could the 49ers be trying to lure crabtree in by throwing those kinds of plays into the offense??  The teams already 3-1 (should be 4-0), with what looks to be a lock on the division. Im sure Crabtree is going to be thinking more and more about the whole situation as the deadline to sign gets closer and the season progresses. Hes got a chance to play on a young up and coming playoff team that NEEDS him. I may just be getting excited but im starting to get a little more hope that he is actually gonna sign. Anyone else getting the same feeling?
