Was our 2008 #1 draft pick worth the money?

Aaron Hicks -

Aaron Hicks CF 45 173 32 55 10 4 4 27 85 28 32 12 2 .409 .491 .318 .900 2

I know he is only 18 but I expected more out of him this season.  .318 is a good looking average but only 4 homeruns doesn't shout power hitter.  Am I missing something or did we draft him for his defensive abilities?  Tonkin might have been a bigger draft success considering when and where he was picked.  Let me hear ya!

September call ups?

Do we call up a catcher for insurance when we rest Mauer?  Do we call up bullpen help to rest some arms for the post season? (You all know the Twins are going to make the post season, don't you.)  Do we call up some utility players so that the G. has some options on the bench the rest of the way?  What do you think?

Here are my September call ups:

1.  Luke Hughes - he has had a good year at Roc. and deserves a shot at some playing time and AB's in the bigs.

2.  Garrett Jones - 21 home runs should be enough to get a bench spot in Sept.

3.  Jason Pridie - utility outfielder/pinch runner

4.  Ryan Jorgensen - insurance catcher

5.  Bobby Korecky - 25 saves could mean a few innings here and there in the bullpen

6.  Anthony Swarzak - lets see how good he is in the bullpen or a spot start.

7.  Tim Lahey - gives the team another bullpen arm and G. more options

These are my opinions ...lets hear yours.

(This is my first post on this site so go easy on me.)
