Bernie on Tour!!!
So I don't know if any of you have seen Bernie Williams play live, but I am going to this June!!! He is playing in my hometown of Rochester, NY on June 17, 2009 at the Eastman Theatre as part of the Rochester International Jazz Festival. This festival runs from June 11 through June 19 and is an awesome part of Rochester. I personally cannot wait to see him play live. I've only seen him on TV previously. Here's his current tour dates listed:
4/22/09 Englewood, NJ
4/23/09 Tarrytown, NY
6/17/09 Rochester, NY
Has anyone else seen him live?
Ellison Signs Tender
$1.01 mil tender for next season according to PFT.com. i think we need an upgrade, but OBD plans on starting him.
Pat Thomas signs 1-year deal with Buffalo
per profootballtalk.com.
T.O.'s VH1 Reality Show
The latest chapter in the life of Terrell Owens will put Buffalo on the prime-time TV map even if the Bills aren’t featured prominently on ESPN’s Monday Night Football schedule.
That’s because Owens is the star of a new VH1 reality series, “Playing the Field,” which will feature the former Dallas Cowboys star receiver turned Buffalo Bill.
VH1 President Tom Calderone, a 1986 graduate of Buffalo State College, said Tuesday he wouldn’t know for a month about just how much of Buffalo will be featured on the program.
“It will be a backdrop,” said Calderone. “I don’t know how much of Buffalo will be in it. The show is in a tailspin. It was going to be filmed in Dallas and Miami [where Owens lives] now it is Miami and Buffalo.”
From The Buffalo News
I had completely forgotten about this. Should be interesting to say the least. It will help get Buffalo even more national exposure now.
That being said, this is a terrible idea. I know people watch so much reality crap these days that this will probably be a hit. But still......ugh!!!
Great T.O. article from ESPN.com
Finally a positive story from someone over there on the T.O. subject. Hits all the good points of the deal on the head.

Robert Royal is going to be a Brown
Good luck buddy. Hey Browns, good luck getting something out of him.
Birk to Baltimore
Matt Birk has a new home, the Baltimore Ravens.
Dominic Moore comes to Sabres for 2nd Round Pick
That's his career stat line. I Guess this works.
Devery Henderson resigns with Saints
Well there goes that option.
Harris - "I'm going to stick it out"
From The Daily Orange Sports Blog
This is what i'm talking about. He wants to finish what he started. I hope Flynn and Devo come back also. If they do, this team could be tops in the nation next year. All last season I was saying give these guys 2 years and they can be national champs. That got set back a little with Donte Greene leaving for the NBA, but I think we can win it all next year if we step up our defense. Other than the first half of last nights game, we've been playing our best ball all year recently and lets hope we can keep this up and have a good Big East Tournament this year and get a good seed in the tourney.
Kevin Jones to visit the Bills
what do people think of this?
Sekera to miss several weeks
Well that ain't good. He's second on the team in ice time and he's been money for us this year. Miller is playing pretty well right now and our defense needs to step it up with this injury to keep him from getting tired out. Hopefully Sekera will be back sooner than later. He's been a main cog in this defense and we're going to need him down the stretch.
buffalo rumblings gets a mention in tim graham blog
Daniel in Seattle writes: Tim, Been reading you all season, and I have to say, you give the best reading by any national journalist-ne Blogger on what is happening with the Bills. While there have been times I have been annoyed by what you have said, I cannot disagree with what you have said, so behind Dr. Z your my favorite read. I have a favor to ask, while the postseason is underway, and Juniors are still thinking about declaring, the amount of mock drafts out in cyberspace is starting to grow. About 95% of them are completely mis-reading the Bills situation. Many are saying we take a DB, or a LB, when we have as a team many more holes to fill. These "experts" really need to spend some time checking out sites like www.buffalorumblings.com which are run by very knowledgeable fans who take long hard looks at the players on the roster and the likelihood of improvement in the draft and FA. I sincerely hope I won't see you make the same mistakes as many of your brethren out there when we get closer to the draft. In fact, I can gurantee you won't, your just too smart to do that! -Dan
Tim Graham: I'm floored by your kind words, Dan. That's the first time -- and probably the last -- I will be mentioned in the same sentence as Dr. Z. Unless, of course, it's a press box attendant yelling "Tim Graham, please stop drooling on Dr. Z's black book!" So I see through your obvious attempt to plug a Web site. But I visit Buffalo Rumblings and find it entertaining and informative. I will allow it.
from the afc east mailbag from tim graham's afc east blog on espn.com. apparently he checks us out.
who sent this in to tim?
Go vote for our boys!!!
http://fanballoting.nhl.com/vote
Go vote for our boys to be in the all-star game! Vanek is in 10th place amongst eastern conference forwards and that is unacceptable! He is the most deserving so go vote for him and the rest of our guys. Teppo Numminen is 8th amongst defensemen and Miller is 4th amongst goalies. And we have other dudes deserving.
Do it and tell other Sabres fans you know to do it too!!
Why didn't Freddy Jackson get the ball Sunday?
Anyone have any idea why he didn't get the ball at all Sunday?
We just didn’t have that many opportunities to get me out there I was told.,” Jackson said. ”We ran 19 plays in the first half. When you have a guy like Marshawn you’re going to try to get him the ball as many times as you can too. It was unexpected"
From Chris Browns' Blog.
I understand we weren't on offense much, but I feel he's been an important, and somewhat of a bright spot for the Bills offense this year. I don't think he could be an any down back in the NFL, but he is a great complement to a runner like Marshawn. I would have liked them to at least try him out and see if it would have broke the monotony of the offense on Sunday.
Ralph Wilson says the players are the problem
Wilson disagreed with half of Whitner's evaluation. Wilson suggested the coaching staff was fine, but the players were the problem.
"We haven't got the talent," Wilson said. "We didn't play well. The coaches, they can't go out and kick the ball. They can't go out and tackle. What else is there to be involved?
It comes from Tim Graham's AFC East Blog on espn.com
I feel we do have some talented players, but we definitely have issues with the talent level of some of our team and for sure there are issues with the coaching.
