Blazer's Edge My rebuild during this off season

I know, I know - another scenario post.

Here's what I would do this summer.

Trade #1, offer the #6 pick, S. Williams, N. Smith and K. Thomas to HOU for K. Lowry. I think Lowry is slightly better and quicker than Dragic, plus will probably be cheaper then Dragic next year, as Lowry costs only 5.75 million next year and 6.2 million the year after.

Trade #2, offer the #11 pick, Babbit and rights to Claver to SAC for T. Evans.

Free Agency: Offer J. McGee 4yrs, 50m, starting at 12m and with increases each year to total 50m. If Denver matches, and they may, that would eat up their entire cap space. However, they already have Anderson, Mozgov, and Koufos, so they may not match that large of an offer.

If that offer does get matched or fails to attract McGee, then do a similar one for Hibbert. Indiana may match it, but Hibbert is worth that.

Then, offer O. Asik 3yrs, 14m.

Using cap holds for Batum and Hickson, and after the above additions/subtractions our cap space should be about 58.5m

LA 14
J. McGee 12
Mathews 6.5
Lowry 5.75
Batum 5.4
Evans 5.2
Asik 4
Hickson 3.36
E. Williams 1.44
Freeland 0.85
58.5

Then offer Batum 5 yrs, 40m and Hickson 3yrs, 12m.

Our lineup should look like this:

PG Lowry T. Evans
SG Mathews E. Will
SF Batum
PF LA Hickson
C J. McGee O. Asik

What do you think?
