Ok, so I know that Maryland's bed is still warm and Rutgers isn't really even out the door yet...what time is it on the East coast...maybe they've just left...but I can't help but wonder if the reason the ACC hasn't come out and officially announced their next victims...I mean targets...is because they are in a last ditch effort to get Notre Dame to sign up as a full time member.

Realistically, I am sure things are within striking distance of a deal with the publicly mentioned targets of UCONN or Louisville (I mean it's only been like three days since all this broke, but it has felt like forever at this point).

It feels like this move by Maryland was a long time coming, the ACC should have had some kind of plan in place...why wouldn't it be ND?

Ok.

So I've been living in Germany for four and a half months now, but I've finally managed to get a street (strasse - in German) named after James Arthur.

I know I should be embarrassed because it took me so long, but German red tape is intense.

Check it out in Google Maps. I'm sorry there were no pictures of the ceremony, it was beautiful. No road games here!

So, I was trolling Casual Hoya.

I admit it, I go from Big East site to Big East site, looking for the most recent Big East info and to see what they're saying about SU (and Pitt, and the move to the ACC).

Does this make me a troller? I guess. Maybe. I dunno. Maybe Sean can let me know. Am I only supposed to read SU blogs?

Anyway, so there I was, reading a post about how Nerlens Noel (or however the spell that kid's name) was being investigated by the NCAA and halfway through the post, it became an SU bashing post. Somehow, our shared recruitment of this kid, and loss to Kentucky, was a lucky break for Georgetown and a typical criminal act by SU.

I wasn't exactly sure what to make of this, so in attempt to figure out what was puckering their asses so badly, I asked this question:

I didn't get the honest response I wanted, but they did stoop as low as I have become accustomed to.

Further, they had this post this weekend:

Which was just a bitch fest about how the ACC was retarded for taking such a loser team as SU.

I don't think I've ever spent the time to research the the Georgetown schedule, nor do I think I've ever cared if they have won or lost outside of their contests against SU (frankly I want everyone we play to be ranked #1, so that when we beat them it just makes us look better). So I don't think I've ever given two thoughts about the state of Georgetown football, and if I hadn't lived in DC for 8 years, I don't think I would have known that Georgetown had a football team.

Now, I know we all hate Georgetown, and I know sour grapes are what they are, but they seem to have a level of hate towards us that was surprising. What exactly, does Georgetown have to hate about SU? Other than us handing them their asses in basketball every year. It's not like Jimmie B officially closed the Verizon center (though he could have).

What are you guys going to bitch about once 'Cuse is no longer in the Big East or playing you guys? Every thread you have turns into a 'Cuse hate session, which by all means, is your right.

But where do the sour grapes go, once the marriage is over? To be completely fair, I'm going to miss the hell out you guys, but I don't think I'm going to lose any sleep over you, or spend anytime reminiscing about old stories, wins, losses, mostly wins, or poor sportsman ship by 80's sports figures.

I guess we'll always compete for recruits and share of the market. Heck, we might even play against each other every once in a while. Will all this animosity turn against 'Nova...or UCONN?
