Fan dies after 20-foot fall
I know this isn't football related but it is sports related and definitely human related. The man was taking his young son to his first baseball game and was trying to get a game ball as a souvenir. The outfielder tossed the ball to him..and this is the result. I can't find anything right about this whole incident. It literally made me ill.
NFC East. Overrated? Apparently someone thinks so.
From NFL Fanhouse. Apparently we're not all we're cracked up to be..
A simple poll
Okay, it is time to take the BTB's members pulse. This is a simple yes or no poll to get a feel for where your collective heads are at this point. Since everyone has already formed an opinion of this years' model of the Cowboys, the process should be short and sweet. Simply put; Do the Cowboys have the right stuff to make it into the playoffs? Or are the next three games the nails in the coffin of the 2009 season?
This guy has got to go, and I believe he is on his way out
This may be a bit premature but it is time to remove this individual from our team. No, I'm not talking about any of the coaches, not even any of the players. I'm talking about this freeloader, this parasite who has hung around for far too long. Before this season I don't think we had the right personnel, the right attitude, the fortitude to remove this absolute cancer from our midst. I'm talking about this guy.
Lancelot Link Secret Chimp (via *Marcela*)
He has been on our back for far too long, usually not making himself known until December. Notice the secret agent camo he's been using? That's why you don't see him till December. He has survived through a lot of coaching/personnel changes. But I think he has finally met his match. This Giant/Eagle/Redskin fan has got to go and the time is now. What say ye my brethren?
Yeah we lost
Yet how disturbing it was to be on the game day thread and reading negative after negative post. If you have absolutely no faith in this team then why do you follow them? Yes Romo had a bad game. That makes him real unique doesn't it? I realize game day threads are just emotions spewing out over the internet but good lord you would have thought the Cowboys were down by 35 with 7 seconds left, not down by 6 with 7 minutes. I come to this site to read analysis by some very good analysts and get unique perspectives from fellow posters. But when I finally got in to the game thread tonight I got niether. I got a tidal wave of "we suck" mentality. People, no one is going 16-0 in this league anytime soon, that includes the Giants, the Patriots, the Eagles. Sure I wanted a different result tonight, and I was dismayed when the second half started to go sour but you have to have some kind of faith that the team will get their act together and pull it out. I'm not so sure some people don't just abuse the "we suck" mentality because eventually they're going to be right. I wasn't happy with the effort tonight, the defense needs a lot of work apparently and Romo needs to get a grip on his game but you (or I, I guess) don't count your team out until it's apparent the outcome is in favor of the other team. We lost this game when Tynes hit the game winning FG with NO TIME on the clock. Not midway through the 4th quarter.
