I am so sick of seeing in OUR ANGEL FAN posts,  some people so down on our players.   People saying the Skanks will win etc..     This is BASEBALL,   nobody said it would be easy,.   I say we stick by our players,   who have gotten us this far!.    To give up now is for losers.  LAA HOO ZAAA HEERRRRS.    Who wants to be that?   ALL RIGHT THEN!   LET"S GO HALOS!!!!!!!!   Cynicism is for the weak!    HERO'S  are for the strong!!    ANGELS  ANGELS  ANGELS ANGLES  ANGELS ANGELS ANGELS  !!!!!

        I know many of you have high hopes for Brandon Wood,  and it may come to pass that he becomes a great major league player.    It may come to pass that he becomes only a league average, or worse player.  If he is indeed highly regarded, and can get us what we need, ideally a High Quality bullpen arm,  or a Halladay,  then let's do it.   Why not parlay his  value in a trade for a proven player,  someone who can help us this year (and ideally beyond).   Far more important than the possibility (of Wood being a star player),  which thus far has not been forthcoming ,  is the reality that the window is still open for another World Series run.    If he can get us the piece (or pieces) that will put us over the top, then that will be his greatness to the Angels.

       Mr. Reagins, trade him for what only a #1 prospect can get in return.   

      Well, I am just so happy that our TEAM is kicking so much arse, with and without our biggest sluggers.   The way the subs have stepped up, it makes me feel real good about our chances in the postseason.   However bad I thought our bullpen was, at least it isn't KC's!

      So give me some Torii, Vlad and Juan,  or give me some Matthews , Willits, and Mathis.   IT DOESN"T MATTER, because we win anyway!   GO ANGELS!

   Well, since we are rained out,  I figure I'd write some observations from my trip to the series in Oakland.   I live in Southern Oregon, so Oakland is the closest stadium .   I really like the coliseum .   For one thing, the A's are the lowest drawing team in the American League, so we were able to stretch out and sit where we liked.   All the people that we met in and around the area are really nice.   The Oakland fans were having a good time, the A's have a few cool players (suzuki, OC, Holliday) .    They let you bring in food and drink, so long as it is not glass or cans.   For folks like myself that don't eat Hotdogs that is great.   (BTW, Hotdogs are nasty smelling) .     I like the fans that bring flags and wave them in the bleachers,  Ken Korach is a good announcer,   OC had a great series.   And of course, we won 3 of 4.   I caught a foul ball hit by Holliday.

     This is the third time I saw Santana at the coliseum, and he didn't disappoint.   Game 2 was ugly.  Saunders didn't seem to have his head in the game,   and the A's were the team using speed to win.  Rajai Davis made a mockery of the battery.   Cool plays that I'd never seen in person.   (delayed steal of third, instant replay Morales homerun,  scoring from first on Sondo's terrible pickoff attempt)   Gm 3 was awesome capped in the first at bat with Figgys lead off blast to right.   (too many walks though).   It was heartwarming to see John Wilhite throw out the first pitch.   I had to listen to gm 4 on the way home, but I was there in spirit.    

    I like the A's and their  fans,   They are a small market team, west coast style.  A laid back atmosphere.    I know some of you are anti-A's, but I like them.   I will root for them as long as it doesn't hurt the Angels.   Its the Sux and the Skanks that draw my Boos,  and the Rangers (any team owned by one of our former presidents)

     O'Day was rule 5'd, then the Mets cut him, and now he's a Ranger.   Don't rule 5 picks have to get returned to the team they were taken from?    And if so then why would the Angels not want him?   

      I am constantly befuddled watching the games Santana has pitched, the radar has him throwing 89 MPH fastballs.

What gives?   Anybody know?   Is he still hurt?  or does it take several months to regain velocity?   Or is it lost and gone and now he is no longer the All Star he was last year?    Or is the MLB.TV  video really that bad and I am reading it wrong? 

      Great Game tonight!   I just want to Big UP Figgy tonight.   I am so glad he is our leadoff hitter and excellent 3rd baseman.   I mean, have you seen some of the great plays he's been makin?  I say Figgy for GOLD GLOVE.  Why not?  Stolen base title and GG in the same year?  Could Happen.  Well, Bless Up to you all out there on airwaves tonight!

    So HOw about it!  New Career High hitting streak.  My Man!  FIGGY!!!!
