The Crawfish Boxes Ironic?

The astros were supposed to win games 8-7, and 7-6,...Why are they losing 4-0 and -2-1? What are the bats doing wrong. I dont know how much i like, Berkman, Lee combo, i feel like there all swingin for big hits. Pence as well. getting alot under them trying to get that homerun out of the way. Bourne is hitting great. Though i have to admit Tejada is hitting better then i thought

The Crawfish Boxes Outfield and Rotation

Who do you think should round out the bench and outfield positions at that. Jose Cruz Jr has shown alot of heart and dedication to the fact that he wants to make the squad. But so can be said about Reggie, I like his hitting so far, and I think hes a great runner to, in needed situations.
Jose Cruz Jr.
Or
Reggie Abercrombie

As for the 5th spot of the rotation (I would argue that i think Woody should be out but that wont happen)Personally im a huge fan of Sampson he has a lot of talent and think he could he a #3 guy by next year, a solid #3 guy. Also Felipe Paulino if hes as good as everyone says he can be then he should get a spot too, maybe throw Sampson in the pen and give him a shot, if hes not so hot at first put him at round rock and take out Sampson. As for Chacon, i dont like him, ive seen him before, and hes nothing special, and personally dont think hes an upgrade from Sampson. Do any of you remember Sampsons first game, it was against the cubs, a 1-0 win with the help of a Brad Ausmus homerun. What a game that was, Derek Lee was still injured, or it might have been like his 2nd game back im not that good. Well with all that being said, what you think?

Chris Sampson
Or
Felipe Paulino
or
Shawn Chacon

The Crawfish Boxes Clemens...i know

According to Chron.com and ESPN TV. Andy "I cannot tell a lie" Pettitte has said that Clemens has used steroids. Clemens said it was about his wife. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bb/5536814.html
Thats the link
Also Conseco backs Clemens
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bb/5536214.html
thats that link.

Good for Pettitte. Though as we learned in Enron Whistle Blowers dont get much love. As for Clemens, if this IS true, Im torn. With the word of Andy i kinda believe that he did use. But The thing that differs from Bonds is that Clemens used it for only 3 years...If u take away those years he is still a HOF player. and still one of the best. Bonds, has been linked through his entire career. It turns out everyone in the Mitchell Report was true.
John Rocker, also said that Arod used as well as Palmero.

The Crawfish Boxes MLBPA and Santana

as of 5pm eastern time today a deadline was set for the Mets to sign Johan. No deal was reached, Johan is looking for around 170 million for 6-7 garunteed years, and an opt out clause after the 3rd year. well it passed 5pm. and its been announced that there is a 2 hour extension until 7pm east. 6pm central. If this deal happens, for the amount he wants.. and when i say "if" i mean when, weather the mets get him or he goes back to the twins then to either the yanks or sox. The MLBPA will be excited because this means pitchers who arent that good, will be making MORE money, ticket prices up. Especially for me who lives in NY and often visits Shea Stadium, to root the Mets on. and in 2009 when the mets move to Citi, lowest ticket prices will be just like the yankees. How much are the cheapest tickets in Houtson... i wish i was there instead.

The Crawfish Boxes Tejada

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bb/5383457.html

Traded. Houston. That's all Tejada needed to hear from Baltimore Orioles general manager Andy MacPhail. Free at last, an American League bottom-feeder no more.

"I didn't ask who they got for me," Tejada said. "I was just happy to hear I got traded."

Maybe his moral will go up, his offense will most definitly go up. Who did Miggy have around him in Balt. No one now hes got 3 amazing players. Lee Berkman and not to mention Hunter Pence. Lets see where his Rbis stand moving from 4th to third. Alot depends on Bourne and maybe Pence No. 2, or Matsui.

Well From what it sounds like Tejada is excited to be here, so maybe hell be better.

The Crawfish Boxes Berkmans Mouth

Alright like i said, i live in new york so i only see road games against the mets and yankees. Ive noticed that Lance is the last player out of the dugout during warmup's, and can not be bothered by fans in new york looking for an autograph, or anything. That was just background, someone please tell me at home, hes alot more personable, and is one of the first ones on the field. Lance is now Saying Clemens should make a more detailed statement, in an article in the Houston Chron. the article says that Berkman and Andy P. were good friends but nothing About berkman and Clemens, was there termoil there?
Also Berkman Comments on newly aquierd closer Valverde, and that his antics could have a negative effect on the astros, and that he wont fit in. Whats everyones feelings on that. Shit if Valverde saves 9-10 he can pump his fist and show his ass to albert pujoils i dont really care. the 86 mets had a bad image, and chemisrty (another thing that berkman mentions) and they beat us, and won it all. So maybe we should Ditch the "return of the good guys" and do coke and chase women around haha, this thing really turned from my inital question of, Why is Berkman the press leader of the team and why is he so willing to judge what we got.

The Crawfish Boxes Jennings, Tejada

For, Taylor Buchoelz, Jason Hirsh, Willy Taveras, Luke Scott, Troy Patton, Dennis Sarfate, Mike Constanzo, Matt Albers (Not to mention the release of Adam Everett)...Hey did you notice that were all our top young players (minus, pence towles and paulino.)

this is rediculus, do the Gm's know what there doing? Dont you think we should have offered a little bit more to Andy Pettite...he would be a nice number 2 guy.

The Crawfish Boxes Closer

Ok, so maybe i flew off the wagon with the whole warpath thing.
BUT. what say this. do you all think that he is going to talk to Rivera who makes about 10 mill a year, which is about double lidge's salary. or Cordero who made 8 mill last 2 years, and i can expect he will want a rase, But it cant be over Mo. What do you say, should we try and persue these men.

The Crawfish Boxes ED WADE WARPATH

hes going to ruin the franchise, and i think im overrearcting...But he wants Glavin and Leiber... for NO REASON...glavins last outing he didnt record an out... Willis came off a bad year...and i have a REALLY bad feeling that Mr. Pence will be dealt for some veteran who i garuntee will not poduce for us. I would never part ways with pence... if i was a GM. hes young talent GREAT potential...i just have a bad feeling that our OF is gunna lokk like Lee, Bourne and reggie abercrombie, and hes gunna get rid of Josh Anderson too... solid player...not exactily proven, but looks like hes ready to perform...last year Spring Training pence Hit like .600 and i said it was a bad move to not keep him up, this sept anderson hit around .400 I THINK im not sure and im too lazy to get numbers, but he had impressive ones for a kid who never saw Big league pitching before. Is anyone else think that wade is on a war path...

PS. Now with lidge gone... Mariano River, Franscico Cordero....?

The Crawfish Boxes ANGRY

is anyone else, catching the drift that no astro GM will ever make the right deal. Lidge and Bruntlett, i mean im said to see bruntlett go... But LIDGE?? way to stick with a guy for 2 years after he took a downfall, and then after rumors surfaced that we could have gotten Carl Crawford for him, we get a few minor leaguers and a so so reliver... i hope Wade likes to answer questions, like whose are new closer, cuz i sure as hell pray that its NOT chad qualls...pure bullshit, another move gone sour

The Crawfish Boxes Pence no. 2?

Does anyone like Pence at the Number 2, as weird as it sounds, i like ensberg one, Everett 2, berkman, lee, pence, scott, biggio, ausmus... thats a pretty weird lineup...Ensberg walks alot, this is statistically Everett's best month....i dont know how many of the players would like it, but we should try it

DO WE GIVE LIDGE ANOTHER CHANCE AT CLOSER, knock on wood, but that guy has been lights out...Rastronomicals post his latest numbers...there great..and Wheeler loves giving up homeruns

The Crawfish Boxes Trades

I dont think the astros should make any moves, once Berkman starts hitting we should be fine offensivly, its only one more batter to be hitting but when u got Lee and Pence doing as well as they are, an added Berkman will make us stronger, i saw "clack" talk about trading one of our relievers or Luke Scott, for adam Dunn Or Ken Griffy Jr...Personally, Jr, too old, too injury prone, not worth it, and also Adam Dunn is on pace to strike out 270 times... shattering all the records, not someone i want on my team, id probably rather have preston wilson back...
