My Philadelphia Story
In spite of the numerous warnings received, and some good luck in getting tickets I attended last nights Bears vs. Eagles game at the Linc.
After working several connections I finally obtained four tickets to the Monday night contest and was immediately warned about how rough Eagles fans are to the opposing team's fans.

Nate Burleson Guarantees Victory
Before I share the link, I just want to say that I am predicting, here and now, we are going to beat both New England and New York. You can call me crazy, but I just think we match up really well against these two teams.
Now, on to the Lions...they are struggling with injuries, but one of the reasons that they and the Vikes scare me is that we don't have that nice home field advantage that we have been enjoying on that beautiful kitty litter we call the Soldier Field turf.
I am nervous about this game, especially since we basically lost the first game to them. But I truly feel this Bears team is completely different then they were the first time we played. Needless to say, I still think Burleson is a jackass for guaranteeing victory. We'll win in a close one, thanks Nate, for the bulletin board material (not that pro athletes need that stuff right?)
Going into Enemy Territory...anyone with me?
So, my brother and I will be the guys 11 rows back from the field in the "visitors" end zone wearing Bears jerseys and having beer thrown at them.
Anyone else going to New Jersey this Sunday night to watch the NFC Leading Bears go 4-0?
I can't wait for the Bears to christen this new stadium, and hopefully keep rolling.
Despite how crappy the Giants have looked the first few weeks, I think we are going to have our hands full BUT win this one.
Skins Executive Resigns: What this means to Da Bears
Vinny Cerrato, Daniel Snyder's right-hand man has resigned. Bears fans may be asking, "Who cares?"
Well, my friends, we should care because Vinny was the Executive V.P. of Football Operations and this (in my un-expert opinion) could be the first part in opening the door for a football czar type coach (either Holmgren or Shanahan). And considering how the NFL does business now, we could have possible confirmation that there are no big changes on the way for our beloved Bears.
How can that speculation be made? Look at the Miami Dolphins and Bill Parcells...high level changes are starting to be made during the season, and this could be sign that we are stuck with Jerry and Lovie for one more year.
Bottom line: this offseason expect Turner to take the fall for a crappy year, and don't expect to see a new head coach leading your Chicago Bears. Usually, the tired out "cheap" moniker is unfair for the Bears, but not in the case where millions would be paid to a guy who will do nothing with our organization, it may be accurate.
This is also a clear sign that Jim Zorn is gone. How about a former great QB molding Jay in some way? OC? QB Coach...just some things to think about on a cold December morning
Week 9, Reality hits...and denial
Well, here we are half of our games played and we're sitting at 3rd in our division looking up at the Vikes and Pack. Wow, did it hurt to write that...but I am coming to grips with who the Bears really are.
I think deep down, I knew the condition of our team despite the wins that we have. Somehow, I held on to hope that we were just a couple of games from letting the pieces mesh and becoming a really good team, but now I am pretty certain that can't be true. Why?
Simply put, we can't win the battle in the trenches. The O and D lines are horrific. We can't generate or stop pressure and our team is looking Pop Warnerish at times because the opposition can do whatever they want.
I understand there is no newsflash here, but I think I'm trying to heal with this post.
I also understand we basically have no draft. I also understand that there is way too much money to be paid to Lovie to expect any kind of head coaching change.
But, you know what? I still love the Bears. I'm still going to watch every remaining game. I'm still going to hold out hope for a playoff spot....why? Because I believe. Maybe I believe more than the players and the coaches, kind of like on Sunday when I thought we might actually come back in the second half....
Maybe it's not realistic, but I am still holding on to hope for some revenge against the Vikings and Pack. There are still 8 games left...If Lovie can flip on his own emotional switch and the team's as well, somehow we can still pull out a miracle.
Message to the Bears: It's not too late to play angry and Bear down...New season starts Thursday in San Fran against Samurai Mike!!! LET'S DO THIS!!!
Ok, thanks for letting me vent.

Fan Ballot for HOF-Vote for Richard Dent
I think the stats bear (no pun intended) out. Dent has been robbed of the Hall of Fame for far too long!
It is time for the voice of Grabowskis everywhere to be heard, and let us rally around the Super Bowl MVP who deserves to be placed in Canton.
Go to the following site http://www.fanschoice.com/ and vote for Dent. He is currently number 7 in voting.
It's an annoying site and they make sure that we know the Hall Committee has the final say, but they can't ignore us if enough for a man who truly deserves to be inducted.
Click the link and vote!!! Get Dent his bust!!!
Also, if this has been posted somewhere else, I apologize

Hasselbeck or no?
It seems that there is no definitive answer at this point as to whether or not we will face Matt this weekend. This according to the following ESPN article:
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out...especially if the Seahawks study game film and see how our boys are ABUSING opposing Quarterbacks, personally I'd sit him, I don't want to see the guy get hurt any worse.
Also, looking at the Field Gulls posts, it seems like the Seahawks are hurting pretty badly, hence Gore's monster day on Sunday.
Looking forward to seeing the re-emergence of our running game.
Any advice on Slingbox? Direct TV Supercast?
Ok, so I figure I'm going to be able to see the first three games and the night games, but after that as a Bear fan living in New York, I'm in trouble.
I can't get satellite because of the trees around my house (at least that's what three different techs told me & yes we have trees in NY) SO:
My options are as follows:
Sports bar: Sounds great, the wife would kill me though
JustinTV: Free but unreliable
Slingbox: Very interesting, my brother has Sunday Ticket and is willing to let me slingbox to him, I think costs about $179
Supercast-Mobile: May or may not be live, not sure how this would work since I don't and can't have Direct TV, costs 100 bucks. I'm going to check iTunes store later to see how it works on my iPhone (not real excited about watching a whole game on my iPhone)
Any out of town fans want to share how they get their Bears fix on a regular Sunday?
Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!
NFL TV MAP, for out of town fans
For all of us who are not in the Chicago land area, I found something pretty cool. It's a map that shows what games will be shown on what stations this Sunday.
This is for week two: http://the506.com/nflmaps/
Personally, I am glad to see our beloved Bears will be on TV in the New York area, probably because of the proximity to Pittsburgh and the Giants and Jets having different game times.
I apologize if this has been posted somewhere else already. If not, ENJOY and let's go beat the world champs this Sunday!!

Seeing that our usual Twitter informant is down with bad headaches, I am offering what I have been tweeted thus far today.
Seeing the work that goes into this, it's a good opportunity to thank Allie for all of the hard work. Here are the first batch, I will update when I am able. Also a good opportunity to wish Allie a speedy recovery
