How the three man rush saved the Giants season
At various times throughout the season Perry Fewell went to a three man rush, which was met with almost universal scorn from Giants fans. However, I'm here to tell you that with the defense teetering on the brink in the Super Bowl, Fewell fearlessly dialed up the three man rush which may have saved the game and the season.
Was Big Blue View around in 2007?
If it was, I'd love to see what people were saying after:
Week 12: Vikings 41, Giants 17
Week 15: Redskins 22, Giants 10
I guarantee you it was all the same "Fire Coughlin," "Fire Reese" nonsense that we are hearing now.
Let me be clear: The Giants were an awful team last night. They looked like a 5 win team at best, regardless of the opponent. But are the Giants really a 5 win team? Obviously they are not. Against the Eagles a week ago, they looked like maybe a 6 or 7 win team and that's probably generous. But are they really a 6 or 7 win team? I hope not, but we'll find out.
But how bad did the Giants look in Foxboro a few weeks ago? On that day, the Giants looked like a 12 win team to me. Same goes for their zero turnover, 29-16 victory in Philly earlier this year.
The Giants aren't a bad team, they are an inconsistent team. I, for one, would not be surprised in the slightest if the Giants took care of business against the Packers this week as big underdogs. How many times have they risen up when everyone was counting them out?
I understand that the run the Giants made in 2007 was once-in-a-lifetime ride, never to be repeated. It's probably naive to compare this team to the '07 Giants or '10 Packers or '01 Patriots or '05 Steelers, all decent teams who caught fire at the right time.
But please, let's save the eulogy until after the final whistle has blown. You haven't seen the last of this Giants team yet.

McCoy: "Giants aren't better than us"
Looks like McCoy has taken Brandon Jacobs up on his offer to keep dreaming...
If you are sick of seeing DeSean Jackson's punt return...
...and you have some time to kill, pump yourself up for this week's Eagles game with a not too distant trip down memory lane:
Giants vs Eagles, Week 2, 2006 in Philly. Giants were down 17 in the fourth quarter, but we all know what happened next. A fortunate fumble recovery here, a phenomenal touchdown catch by Amani Toomer there, and a clutch drive by young Eli to send it to OT before the Giants took it home.
That final drive in regulation also included a play that was eerily similar to the famous play from SBXLII: Eli eludes what looks to be a sack and finds the Giants' backup receiver, Tim Carter, down the middle of the field for a critical gain of 20.
Game of the Week video available on Hulu. There are lots of other great Giants videos on there as well. Enjoy!

Giants torrents/ old school videos
Hey does anyone out there know how to find or download some full games from years gone by? I would love to get my hands on any of the following games:
SB XXV
90 NFC Championship
1990 Giants/Niners game week 12
SB XXI
Etc... I have all of the stuff from their playoff run in 2007, but I have always wanted to go back and watch some of these games from my childhood, beyond just highlights, and I was wondering if anybody could offer any ideas or help.
Thanks!!
