Rookie Camp / Signing Rooks
Saw this in another thread:
"It’s still a tightly-clumped division, as always, but the NFC East is the Giants and three Giants wannabees"

Reese says Giants have offered Umenyiora new deals
Keith Rivers
Not trying to break news here, I'm sure many if not most of you have seen this rumor via Mike Garafolo on Twitter and NJ.com.
Looks to be a 5th, maybe 4th, rounder for him.
What do you guys think?
Gilbride

Why no Brandon Jacobs in short-yardage? Said #NYG OC Kevin Gilbride: "Unfortunately you’ve seen it not work haven’t you? That’s your answer"

How would you guys rank the home games this year, in terms of which you would most want to attend?
It’s time for me to split up the season tickets I share with a friend. A pair. We don't go to the games together; we each take four games and go with our own peeps. I get the first pick this year, then he gets the next two picks, and so on till I get the last unpicked, game.
I’m pretty sure I will grab the Cowboys New Year ’s Day game first. It’s currently the highest value on Stubhub and obviously is a no-brainer if both teams, or at least the Giants, are in the race then with playoff or home field implications. The only risk is it’s possible that it could become a meaningless game since it’s the last game of the season -- i.e., with slots already wrapped up, the Cowpokes already eliminated, or the absolute nightmare scenario being that the Giants are already knocked out of the playoffs (no! I didn’t say that! I didn’t say that!).
It’s pretty obvious the next two picks would be Eagles and Packers, with the remainder being more of a personal preference nature of decision.
So what do you guys think? Pick Cowpokes game first?

Thanks for your input. It's a decent time to discuss the schedule anyway (with all the signings craziness going on notwithstanding..).
GIANTS FREE AGENTS DISCUSSION
Thanks and credit to Ralph Vacchiano and the NY Daily News for the basis of this (i.e., the list).
Uncertainty looms for Giants 'free' agents
Below is a list of NY Giants who will be up for free agency (either restricted or non-restricted) this offseason. Their current salaries are also listed.
I've decided to do Reese's job and tell him exactly what to do. You'll also see below my recommendations.
Please discuss. No particular format necessary or requested -- any thoughts or comments in any format will do!

So who do you guys want in the 2nd...
... And beyond? I don't want Sean Lee. The torn up knee scares me off. Don't think I want Brandon Spikes (slooo) either. I think I want Dexter McCluster (will he be there?) or best OT available.
With LDT now announcing he'll most likely definitely be gone from SD...
...would anyone here be in favor of the Gmen picking him up?
He could be a pretty sick 3rd down back and a guy with a nose for the endzone in the redzone -- and possibly could be had without much competition in signing him. With some of the injuries our backs have been dealing with it could be good to spell some 3rd down carries. Part of the contract would have to be that he renounces his own use of the nickname LT though (har har).
Thoughts?
