Florida kids like Oregon?
Apologies if someone else has already posted this little link, thought it was an interesting quick commentary on Florida kids starting to look at Oregon.
Happy Mother's Day, ATQ
I pitty the foo that doesn't treat his mother right.
Phil Steele lists UO w/ #3 shot at 2010 Nat'l Title (10:1 odds)
Fark Me, not good news when Phil Steele lists a positive UO prediction.
Alternatively, yeeeeaaaa haw, people think we are good.
It appears to me it is his pick and he is "announcing" it from the Hilton, but I don't read enough from Steele to know if he works out of the Vegas Hilton or he is just listing the picks of other Hilton prognosticators. Since it's his site, I'm assuming it's his picks, but that would be important regarding the karma in his post.
Bama at 1, Ohio St at 2, Boise St at 4, surrounded by our recent friends.
Link to the predictions:

Recruting Performance vs Recruiting Population Base
A website to use your nerdy little fingers to click on and poof, it appears. This sentence added for longevity.

This link was posted in Ted Miller's mailbag, this guy attempts to study school's recruiting performance based on the population school's draw from, normalized in a few different ways.
This is clearly for statistics goobers only. And by that statement, I mean all of us.
Oregon #2 SOS
According to Jerry Palm at www.collegebcs.com, Oregon will end with the second hardest strength of schedule in football this year, according to the formula that the BCS used from 1998-2003, which was 2/3 x (opponents winning %) + 1/3 x (opponents of opponents winning %). See below for the top 30.
Looks like Mr. Dixon will get his shot afterall.

Here's hoping he makes the best of it. When he was first getting started at Oregon, I honestly thought he would be a very mediocre quarterback. He proved me wrong x 10 and more than anything, proved an ability to learn what he needed to improve, and a flat desire to win.
So now he's not supposed to be a pro-style quarterback...
Hedberg Tribute
Since ATQ carries on it's own all day, every day tribute to Mitch Hedberg, though y'all might find this marginally interesting. Link:
I'm out of superlatives. This event combined the genius of Hedberg with the Alamo Drafthouse where it's just done right, uber creative and always on point with related film shorts, the connections to pull interesting people such as Hedberg's widow, and a beer and food menu that makes the McMennamins theaters look paltry. They also do road shows, for example they played Stand By Me on a giant screen in a field in Brownsville, OR where it was filmed... if they bring another to you, check it out - they do it right.
We had Hedberg's unreleased film Los Enchiladas, several unreleased shorts and a pilot TV show, related stuff about him, and then just his good old shit. Honestly, Los Enchiladas was the least funny, though interesting to see guys like Dave Atel in there. Hopefully some of this stuff hits YouTube, I'll try to follow up with them if so.
Mitch, we salute you, keep making us laugh.
