Injury Seasons: Why?

I am sick of seasons filled with injury being the downfall of this franchise.

Do the Seahawks experience a greater number of "talent killing" injuries than the rest of the league?

If so, why? Poor conditioning, perhaps?

And then, why do we still suffer? Is there no depth?

Is there any statistical analysis out there that compares injury impact on season success? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Is the Defensive helmet radio the cause of our trouble?

How could it be with our coaching, LB, & DB situation largely the same for the past couple seasons that our defensive schemes have fallen into a tailspin?

Perhaps the game has changed not in our favor? Perhaps our players are better without it?

In previous seasons, Lofa led the defensive reads and made the audibles. Could it be that confusion caused by the defensive coordinator communicating with the players is the root of our pain?

This game hurts to watch. What is wrong with the D?

Key FACTS:

They can't stop Brandon Jacobs.

They get torched deep.

They can't open field tackle.

They love to interfere with passing.

They are unable to reach the QB

Who poisoned their breakfast? This is not the defense we were told to expect 4 weeks ago. I thought week 2 was a fluke. It might be reality.

East coast travel + bye week + early game DOES NOT EQUAL COMPLETE COLLAPSE.

Someone tell me this is temporary.

I'm going to go cry in a corner until next weekend.

Which pass coverage scheme are the Seahawks best staffed for?

It is time for a serious discu ssion.

We all saw the horrifying effects of a strong wide receiver corps combined with the deep ball vs. the 49ers. Play after play, despite heavy pressure, the Seahawks were unable to stop the aerial bombardment. Are running the wrong coverage schemes for our players?

The Seahawks have great LBs & DEs who might be used more creatively in short zones, spies, and other deceptive modes. Are they being put to their best use?

Our DBs are somewhat short, but quick. When we confront 6-4 WRs & TEs with 5-11 CBs, it often produces poor results. Is this rational?

What do you believe is our best coverage scheme out of our 4-3 base defense given who we have on our roster?
