Q&A With McFadden
What a classy hard working guy. McFadden loves the game of football.
"The Raiders #1 pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, RB Darren McFadden out of Arkansas, arrived in Oakland, Calif., late Saturday night and arrived at the Raiders Alameda, Calif., facility at Noon on Sunday. The Bay Area media had the opportunity to talk with the 4th overall selection in the 2008 Draft in person for the first time.
RB Darren McFadden: I just want to let everybody know I’m very happy to be in Oakland and I’m very glad to be a Raider."

Raiders on the clock
what the fuck is this Adam on the NFL channel say that if he is available the Raiders won't take him. They will take Gholston. I think thats a bunch of bullshit the Raiders will pick Chris if he is available.
Rams on the clock
Adam on NFL channel said Rams will either take Dorsey or trade down... or up wichever one means they go up in number... very small chance they take Long. But you never know
A bang and a whimper
After important selection at No. 4 overall, Raiders slated to wait until fourth round
Ranking the Raiders' new guys, from Akbar to Gibril
"If the 2008 offseason hasn't already been hijacked by the attention-grabbing Oakland Raiders, 78-year-old team owner Al Davis will do all he can to make sure of that this weekend.
Chris Long in a silver and black No. 75 jersey would be quite the headline."

Which Long will be taken first?
"A week ago, Chris Long went to Miami with the first pick in Mock Draft 1.0. He could still be a Dolphin on April 26.
But in the world of mock drafts, which started even before the Super Bowl, it's de rigueur to change perspective from day to day and week to week. Teams do it all the time, which is why it's futile to guess until a few days before the draft, when things start to clear up -- a little."

Short on picks, do Raiders go Long on 4th?
"All eyes were on the Raiders at this point last year. They had the first pick in the NFL draft and weren't tipping their hand, even if everyone assumed they were intent upon selecting quarterback JaMarcus Russell.
This year, the Raiders have the fourth pick and can't be certain which player they will get in the first round on Saturday. However, they are likely to get a player who'll get a good chance to make an immediate contribution.
That first pick carries added significance this year because the Raiders are without second-, third- and fifth-round picks by virtue of trades they made last year and this offseason. Overall, the Raiders have picks in the first, fourth, sixth and seventh rounds -- with two in the latter round.
"We don't have a lot of picks in the draft," Raiders coach Lane Kiffin said at the NFL owners meeting in late March. "The first pick, obviously, is a significant one, being the fourth overall. Potentially, we could trade down, obviously."
Don't count on that, coach. Raiders managing general partner Al Davis' history is that of someone who trades up in the first round, not down.
Since 1996, the Raiders traded up in the first round so that they could select tight end Rickey Dudley, defensive tackle Darrell Russell, offensive tackle Mo Collins and cornerbacks Phillip Buchanon and Fabian Washington. Not once during that time have they traded down in the first round."

Best move for Raiders is to protect JaMarcus
"With five years of futility, an agitated fan base, an aging owner and at least $31 million invested in their franchise quarterback, the Raiders have never been so in need of getting it right. Of positioning themselves to regain lost dignity, as well as the respect they once took for granted"

Kawakami On NFL Draft
"Darren McFadden could be the next Bo Jackson, OK?
That sums up everything I know about Al Davis' draft philosophy, translated to this Saturday when the Raiders will use the No. 4 overall pick to . . .
Take McFadden, of course!"

Why?
Why do you like the Oakland Raiders? The Raider Nation has so many fans but not everyone knows why all the fans love them. Why do you?
Just was watching NFL Channel
and I saw someone predict the draft. They say J.Long is going first Gholston second and Dorsey third leaving Chris to us. They say he might slip because Falcons are really looking at Dorsey and the Rams are really looking at Gholston. (Not saying it's going to happen but it's kind of awsome that someone is saying it might :D)
Al Davis...
If Al Davis passes away what will happen will the team to better or worse? I really don't know because he is the only person who loves the Raiders more than anyone else in the world. But yet he needs to let the coaches do there thing... theres no problem with getting involved with YOUR team but you have to let the people you hired for a specific job to do that job and do it well.
