My Pre-Combine Mock Draft
Disclaimer: This is assuming that both Clausen and Bradford are off the board at #9. No other QB was taken because even if Edwards can't be rehabilitated we have as much or more upside with Brohm as with any 3rd or 4th rd. project QB. No trades were included as they are impossible to predict.
Rd. 1 Bryan Bulaga - OT Iowa - 6'6" 312 lbs - a mauler with a mean streak, most NFL ready OT in the draft
Rd. 2 Jerry Hughes - OLB TCU - 6'2" 258 lbs - 16.5 tfl and 11.5 sacks
Rd3 Jared Veldheer - OT Hillsdale - 6'9" 321 lbs - very athletic, durable - started all 46 gms of college career. DivII AP All-America 1st teamer.
Rd 4 Torrel Troup - NT UCF - 6'3" 314 lbs - not far behind D.Williams and Price and better than Cody as a quality NT prospect
Rd.5 C.J.Wilson - DE E.Carolina - 6'3" 284 lbs - 10.5 TFL and 5.5 sacks in his Sen. yr.
Rd 6 Freddie Barnes - WR Bowling Green - 6'2" 206 lbs - Pass happy offense, but still, 155 receps. for 1770 yds. and 19 TD's. Great replacement for Reed.
Rd. 6 James Starks - RB UB - 6'2" 211 lbs - missed Sen. yr., Junior yr. 1333 yds. 16 TD's, 52 receps. for 361 yds. Great for Gailey's power run game and good hands out of the backfield.
Rd 7 Kade Weston - NT Georgia - 6'5" 320 lbs - 28 tackles, 6 TFL, and 2 sacks, solid numbers for a backup NT.
Rd 7 Jarvis "Jumpy" Geathers - OLB UCF - 6'2" 238 lbs - 14 TFL and 11 sacks, a pass rushing nightmare and great production for a 7th rd. pick.
Hope you like it , feedback is always welcome.
