Hi,

My name is Jason, and I've been married for 18 years and have two beautiful girls, one who is entering her senior year of high school. I split my time between Southern California and Northern California because my wife graduated from college and got a job outside of Sacramento, and due to my work, I have to occasionally go back to Southern California. We moved here from my hometown of Portland, OR. in 2000. I work for a company that does market research for the studios. I originally moved down here to break into the industry as a writer but got a little sidetracked (what with having to support a family and paying bills and all). I'm starting to try to get back into the writing and follow the dream. I've been a life-long Trailblazer fan and have already started my girls down that road. I make them watch the games with me. I'm glad the team has turned around with a bunch of guys that I be proud of. Well, that's about it. GO BLAZERS!!!!!

A Fan Of...

  • NBA Portland Trail Blazers
  • NFL Seattle Seahawks
  • NCAAB Oregon Ducks
  • Golf none
  • Boxing when I was a kid, Sugar Ray

One of Dave's points are good about fatigue. Even though I was proud of having Drexler on the original Dream Team, I do remember him getting off to a slow start the next season.

I think, it was a good experience for Dame, but I'm not too upset about him not making it.

Like Timmay, I don't remember one specific reason or moment of why I started watching the Blazers.

Oh well, at least, I watched last game and got to see Dame play.

If Dame doesn't make the team, it will still be good experience for him.

I agree, but unfortunately we are not in charge. Remember, during the Greece Olympics Larry Brown barely played Lebron, Wade and Carmelo.
Commented on Damian Lillard Sits, Team USA Beats Puerto Rico 112-86 on Aug 22 2014, 8:45p
I guess it depends on the overall makeup of the team, if Coach K thinks it's best to go with Plumlee.

It sounds like for Dame making the team it will depend on Rose's health.

Until he gets inserted into the 4th quarter tonight and saves the US with a scoring outburst and beats Puerto Rico.

How is it even a close score? What with the greatest basketball player playing for USA...James Harden?

Don't forget about Barea and his peskiness.

It's actually entertaining because Puerto Rico is keeping it close, but no Dame.

I'm surprised Monty didn't say "we need to scrap" or "Puerto Rico can do some things."

Was that a robot Wayne Newton or the real Wayne Newton in that Vegas ad? I can't tell the difference.

That last dunk by Puerto Rico begs to differ.

Not a state. Just a territory, which i believe can have their own national teams.

I would like to see more Dame.

Puerto Rico playing tough against US. Of course, they should since they have 3 NBA players in the starting lineup.

Commented on Team USA 105, Dominican Republic 62 on Aug 20 2014, 7:19p
Wow, US Team's lack of big men could definitely hurt them, if they are going to let players just drive straight to the basket.

Well Coach K was his coach in college and he was an assistant to the Dream Team. Now, he is the head coach of USA basketball.

Probably with the injuries to Kobe and Wade. I think, Roy would've been considered the best SG in the NBA today, if he had remained healthy.

Beyond the shooting, the way the local government, police, and state have dealt with the protesters and marches is frustrating.

To me, if Drexler didn't have Porter to ride shotgun with, I don't think that incarnation of the Blazers make it to the Finals.

This team already has too many retired numbers, and in my opinion only Walton, Lucas, Drexler, and Porter numbers should be retired.
