Freeland missed 30 games this season and although he didn't play heavy minutes he was great for our chemistry. He's far from a lockup defender but he is a decent rim protector, he's a very strong bench rebounder, and he camps in the lane on defense.

I didn't realize he was 24 after playing one season so his upside is severely capped.

Schemes don't take years to implement my friend. It can take coaches years to develop and master strong defensive philosophies but it doesn't take that long to teach schemes and tactics. .

Harden can't be stopped but we can dictate some things. We have to come with a tactical gameplan in defending Harden that enhances the strategy within the entire defensive scheme.

Those two are solid post defenders but LMA has proven his ability to feast off mid-range jumpers.

Robinson and Freeland are going to help shut down the lanes and are cleaning up the boards.

Robinson is young and isn't up to speed that's a better decription than to call him a bad defender.

Batum's and Mathew's 3's don't both have to be on fire for us to win the Houston series.

Good post but I don't think that the best marker for quality of defense is PPG. Perhaps defensive FG% or EFG% are a better marker?
