I play ice hockey 2 times a week, sing classically (baritone, though I can be a tenor too), have aspirations to be a vocalist/frontman/songwriter in the progressive and power metal genres. Oh, and I hate Handel.

Lukáš Krajíček to the Ducks?
I know this has already been reported, but this poster went out with the Chicago Tribune today. Discuss...
Icethetics reports Ducks 3rd jersey
Icethetics says Ducks Third Jersey coming in 2010-11
So the Ducks are making a 3rd jersey next season. What are you hoping for or predicting?
Who wants to go to the game today?
5 pm game against the Colorado Avalanche, I have an extra seat, and could meet up anywhere. Seats are behind the visiting goalie, row G.
Ducks fans - Who wants to go to Staples tonight?
I've an overwhelming desire to go to tonight's game, but all my friends are busy. I'm willing to comp some cheap 300 seats, if buddies (2 would be best) are willing to drive and pay for parking. I figure it's only fair since I'm spotting for the tickets. I'm down in Irvine but am willing to drive anywhere in Orange County to meet up. Let me know soon before all the tix are snatched!
Kings v Ducks: no trash talk
You guys are really slouching over there. I expected to sit at the Pond and read some banter. Shameful.
Brown acquitted
No suspension for his great, if maybe a little high, open ice check, thank god. I've been following along with the readers at A2Y (and, wow, most of them hate me, gee I wonder why) and they're pretty much calling for Colin Campbell's head, suggesting that Bettman is colluding against them... with the Ducks... funny I know. Oh and they worship Franzen for running Hiller.
Important news though, Brown's not sitting out any games.
They're doing it again
During a debate awhile ago on A2Y, some Wings fans were complaining that the Red Wings were by far the superior team in '07 (really? Wings fans claiming they're the best? What a shocking revelation!). One thing everyone there could agree on, is that the Ducks won that cup because they were able to pull out victories. They didn't always deserve them, many times getting outplayed. But they just worked their way to wins.
Seem like that with the 2 wins in SJ?
Looking for stats
I'm not a super stat finder on the internet, but I'm sure someone has this somewhere. I'm looking for a comparison of how a team has fared against opposing teams in the playoffs. Like, for instance, finding out how the Canadiens have fared against the other NHl teams in the past, series win-loss basically. I tried looking and came up blank. Maybe I'm an idiot for thinking someone would keep that?
Does Hiller have a nickname?
He's probably going to at least start the playoffs as our #1, and I don't think he has one yet, which blows. Two relations come to mind with his last name, one which barely sneaks past the offensive radar in me (I'm half jew, change a letter in Hiller's name to solve the puzzle). The other is Killer. I don't know how to put it, but he needs something, cuz his mask looks rather plain, and we need to be thinking long term with the kid. I kinda like the concept of Killer too because he could put some art of "The Killer" from Wanted, from the graphic, which would look badass. Can't find a good pic online, but here's a figure from the graphic. Sick yeah?
Anyway, probably lame to others. Any ideas? Someone already use one?
Any other Duck fans notice...
...how much the NHL schedulers hate us? 8 of our last 20 games this season are back to back, including a game in Nashville, followed by... a game in Colorado the next night? back to backs are meant for playing teams like the Ducks and Kings, Islanders and Rangers, Pens and Flyers, Lightning and Panthers; ya know, places where you actually might save time by taking a bus. I can even see stretching it for 2 hr flights like those 2 god awful home game to Phoenix games coming up. Nashville to Denver? Twin Cities to Nashville? Pittsburg to Minnesota? Are any other teams playing these weird back to back splits?
Also, almost forgot but the first weekend this season saw the Ducks playing at SJ, at Phx, and home against Vancouver in a 3 night span. Since when did that start happening in the NHL?
Am I completely off base for complaining about this? It just seems ridiculous. Especially if we're the only team doing this often...
My Ducks History
Well, I'll make this short and sweet.
My older brother was the first one in my family to get hooked on the great game. Because of him, my dad and I became fans of the Kings (I was young and idealistic at the time, I know. Besides, Gretzky was there then). Needless to say we got enthralled in the world of hockey. In 93, my dad got season tickets for the Ducks, and we jumped ship. My brother stayed a Kings fan, which made it all the more fun. At age 8, I started playing roller hockey; my dad ran the inaugural season at Irvine Hockey Club. At 10, I joined my first club team at Gretzky's, and got to choose my number.
Does anyone besides me remember the Ducks first real offensive star? I don't remember why I liked Anatoli Semenov, but I used to love to watch him play. Around that time, the Bullfrogs started playing at the Pond as well, and I loved watching another European play; Victor Gervais. Since someone had Anaoli's number, I found a happy medium in Gervais' number 61, being the flip of Anatoli's 19. The Ducks unlucky number. Including Anatoli, no one numbered 19 has stuck for more than a few seasons. Even when he came back for a season in 95-96, he wore 93.
Now I've switched to ice, still proudly wearing 61. Still playing like a european forward.
