Bills fan since 1980, when just making the playoffs was a bid deal! Grew up with Buffalo perceived as an underdog team, Joe Ferguson (the original Fergie) underthrowing half his passes, Joe Cribbs running wild, Fred Smerlas terrorizing QB's, Jim Haslett inflicting pain, Jerry Butler & Frank Lewis making great catches, Bramer the TE helping move the chains, and lots of others on that "little engine that could" team. The one that beat the juggernaut Dolphins on a night game, ending a 10 year winless streak against them.

That team started my interest in football because they played hard and had fun doing it. Why? Not so much for the money (they didn't get paid that much compared to today). Because they loved to play the game. Period.

Loved the SB teams in the early '90's - they were an adventure to watch just about every week. Fun to see them learn to work together as a team and get over the hump of being looked at as an underdog. Anyone remember the Monday night game where Frank Reich led the team to a win over the much favored Rams (late '80's)? I think that was his coming-out game. Squirmin' Thurman disappearing into the pile and popping out on the downfield end. Andre Reed and his crossing route. Pete Metzelaars and his blocks that sprung Thurman free. Jim Kelly learning not to force the ball downfield. Bruce on the loose. I could go on, but the point is, I love this team.

O.J. finally gets sentenced

Former Bills running back O.J.Simpson was sentenced to 18 years in the slammer, according to WGR earlier today.  He is eligible for parole in 6 years.

At 61, I'm not convinced it's the best plan for the 61-year old SImpson.  I guess that's one way to stretch that 401k plan out a few more years.  LOL!

My personal take is that he finally got what should have come to him nearly 15 years ago.  May he finally wake up and smell the Juice.  "Ugh, what's that smell?"  It's your crimes finally catching up with you, O.J.
