Behind the Steel Curtain Let's get real...

With dozens of fan posts pouring in about the playcalling, I think everybody should step back from the ledge for a minute.

If Bruce Arians' offense not scoring more than 20 points in a night game at Baltimore with a 3rd string QB running the offense is the straw that broke the camel's back, then the Steelers organization is in big trouble.

The same Steeler "fans" that love the franchise for being different from teams like Dallas are the same "fans" screaming for firings and cuts each and every week. It's stupid.

Arians was going against a stacked deck this week. He only had a few days to prepare Dixon for the game. Everybody knew it would be an uphill battle and the defense would probably have to play one of their best games of the season. They didn't. Yet all everybody can think to say about the game is "FIRE ARIANS."

Arians isn't the greatest offensive coordinator, sure, but this is starting to get ridiculous. Good, even great NFL franchises do lose football games on ocassion and heads don't always have to roll.

The breaks just haven't went the Steelers way this season. That doesn't mean there needs to be significant change.

God forbid the Steelers end up at 9-7 and barely sneak into the playoffs. That would be *such* an embarrassing season.

I think we all need to look at the bigger picture. Throwing a tantrum about losing a game like this is pointless. So is throwing a tantrum about not winning the division, etc.

We're all blessed to root for a team that competes and wins at a high level year in and year out. If a 9-7 or 10-6 finish to a season is soooo terrible and unfathomable, I think we're going all right.

Just our $.02.
