Kelly Chase
Chase, a former St. Louis Blues tough guy, earned the 1998 King Clancy Memorial Trophy for helping those with developmental disabilities participate in organized hockey. He's also a broadcaster, which made him a natural for "Blades."
"He's just a classic Western Canadian guy. We interviewed his mother, and she said all he ever wanted to do was be in the NHL," said Albrecht. "When he wasn't drafted, it didn't even deter him one bit. He was a walk-on."
Blues hat (of lies?) is everywhere.
Fantasy advice needed...
OK, so I'm trying to launch a fantasy hockey league among some friends. Most of us either 1) follow one team to some degree but don't know much about the rest of the hockey world, and maybe want to expand our hockey knowledge, or 2) don't know much about hockey but like fantasy sports and want to give fantasy hockey a whirl. Basically I've put together about 10 people willing to give this a try.
I'm in the former camp, and have hardly any fantasy sport experience. I have a sort of co-commish who doesn't know much about hockey but has played lots of fantasy sports.
First up, which site would people recommend? I hear good things about Yahoo! and I used it a little last year so I'm a little more familiar with it. Downside is it isn't up yet and let's face it, I'm getting antsy with hockey season taking so long to get here. ESPN is up and running. CBS? Any place else? Pros/cons? Keep in mind most of these people either don't know hockey well or don't know fantasy sports well or both, so ease of use is a priority.
Next, advice for settings. I'm thinking head to head and..... well, then I really don't know from there what the repercussions will be of all the other options. So I was just going to go with defaults. But any advice is welcome. I'd like to have a keeper league but really we need to focus on getting through one season first to see if this experiment even works.
How do people usually handle drafts? I anticipate getting everyone available to draft at once as being impossible. I'm not familiar with this really, the few times I've done anything fantasy related it's been autodraft.
Any other advice for a newby commish? For keeping people interested?
Thanks all. Go Blues!
Help a fantasy noob out
So I've got to drop someone from my fantasy team to make room for the returning Sedin sister. Who goes?

Heins 57 - jersey foul? I'm guessing that's this guy's name. Or I'm missing something, but that sure doesn't spell "Perron."
