This rumor is still on the outskirts of reality, but it's starting to congeal a bit more as Friday goes along. Michael Schottey of the Detroit Lions blog Blue and Silver Pride tweeted on Friday morning that he's hearing "chatter" that Patrick Robinson -- the New Orleans Saints' first pick at No. 32 overall -- is being included in a possible trade with the Washington Redskins in exchange for Albert Haynesworth. Schottey clarifies that Robinson would be part of a larger deal. Later on Friday, Jason Reid of the Washington Post tweeted the following: "Redskins taking calls on Haynesworth in attempt to solve a big problem and accumulate picks." Reid confirmed that the Saints have called. Here's where it gets fun. On his blog, Schottey noted that the Redskins have indicated an interest in Saints OT Jammal Brown -- per a league source -- and thus that Brown and Robinson would both be headed to D.C. in this potential deal. Brown at LT would "solve a big problem" and allow Trent Williams to stay at RT. This one's got some legs.
