Anthony Morrow scores 47 to spite Don Nelson

Anthony Morrow set a summer league scoring record yesterday with a breakout performance of 47 points. This surpassed the previous high of 42, which was just tied the day before by teammate Anthony Randolph.

Morrow received inconsistent playing time last year due to Don Nelson's crazy whims and hate of everybody not named Don. Had Nelson treated Morrow better, this performances would have been a regular site on the court last year. But Nelson treated Morrow horribly and sat him on the bench at times, and Morrow got cheated. It's a testament that he was able to overcome such unfairness and terrible coaching.

Al Harrington's car

Looks like the perfect car for Al Harrington is available.  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles baby.  This is damn scary that someone actually did this. But not it's available and it's local - in Vallejo.  Who's got $2800? I'm sure Al makes that much a minute:

Warriors Official Site - New Look

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but didn't see it mentioned:  The Warriors website has been completely redesigned.  I haven't had a chance to fully go though it but at first glance it's looking pretty sweet. It's a lot more high-tech, so you better not be using your momma's dial-up to access it.

The Warriors are blog crazy

Proof we are obsessed with the Warriors. Henry Abbott of ESPN's True Hoop mentions all the great info we're getting on the Warriors site, and a few player blogs. Too bad he doesn't give any props to this and other great sites by and for the FAN or The Bay State Warriors.

That's my term for Our team - SoCal doesn't deserve us.  Those fair weather fans are weak in their devotion. Unlike us who are there through thick and thin. Time to split the state in half.  OK, I digressed...

Pacers preview of Dum, Murph, and Ike

Nice article on the Pacers site of the 3 E-Warriors.   Really sheds a glowing light on their chances this year. of course, you wouldn't expect them to say they are going to suck. :p

http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/feature_warriors_071004.html

Reading through there are some nice statistics, but what's missing with these 3 in my mind are the intangibles. They couldn't get the Dubs to the playoffs, and they couldn't get the Pacers there either.

All 3 can put up decent numbers: Dun can fill a stat sheet, but couldn't shoot. Murphy was a double-double pre-Nelson, so I think we've all kind of given him a bad rap by lumping him in with Dunleavy. I've always liked the guy cause he could give you 10 rebounds and also stretch the floor. Ike was awesome at AZ State but didn't really get a chance in the NBA. He had some monster games, but usually looked awkward and overmatched. Then again, Webber's inside post-up game looked silly when he first came out. (I am not comparing his future to Webber's career).

Anyway a decent article - though obviously slanted.

Will Chemistry Survive a Complicated Summer?

New aricle about about team chemistry for the 2007 season in Hoopsworld:
http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?STORY_ID=5512

Says there are no current rumors of trades in the works, but suggests they should package Harrington and Ellis for a rebounding PF.  Also says they should trade Pietrus for a 2nd rounder. Why???

Dunleavy on Hoopsworld

I wanted to share this article on our good old pal Mike. I think we've all read a rehash of the "potential" and "all around game" and "struggle to live up to his high draft slot" garbage a thousand times before, so apparently someone had a deadline to meet. But the article does make some revelations to me, as it calls him "solid" and a "good rebounder". Please read on as the hilarity ensues...
