Build Your Bobcats!
I was looking through some old rosters of the Bobcats over the years and I thought "Man, if I could just pick or choose which Bobcats I'd like to have back with some of the dudes on the current roster, I could build a SERIOUS team!"
So, with that being said, lets do it! Using only players who are currently on the team, or have at some point worn the Blue and Orange, build what you think is the perfect 15 man roster for the Bobcats. I'll go ahead and give you mine:
Starters:
PG: Raymond Felton
C: Emeka Okafor
6th man: D.J. Augustine
Reserves: Centers: Primoz Prezec, Zaza Pachulia. Power Forwards: Boris Diaw, Walter Herman. Small Forwards: Jason Kapono, Adam Morrison. Shooting Guards: Raja Bell, Gerald Henderson. Point Guard: Earl Boykins.
So please, write your best Bobcat squad! This should be interesting!
Does anybody have NBA 2K10?
I know this isn't the best place to ask video game questions, but I just got NBA 2K10 for my PS3 for my birthday and I've been playing the new My Player mode like its going out of style. But now, I seem to be stuck.
Everything was rolling (I went to the summer league, got picked up by a D league team and I now play for the Timberwolves...ewww...lol)
Anyway, now after every game, the 2KInsider says: All these teams are now interested in me and that I'm going to have to make some big decisions. Am I happy where am I? Am I ready to try a new place? He'll support whatever decision I make. And then...nothing changes. I keep playing, after everygame the 2KInsider says the same thing. Over and over. Do I keep playing? Am I about to be traded? Is there something I need to go do after he says this? If anybody on here can help, I'd really appreciate it!
Opening Night Opinions?
I watched most of the games last night (TNT and free league pass preview, woohoo) and most of the games reassured my opinions going into the season. Albeit only one game, heres what I gathered, and I liked to hear your opinions as well!
Boston-95 Cleveland-89.
Going into the season I picked Boston to win it all. And in the 1st quarter, I felt a little silly for that prediction. But as the game wore on, Boston's bench came out with a vengeance (GO SHEED!) and they looked good. Cavs? Not so much. I thought they were pretty overrated heading into this season, and with a chance to knock off another huge team in the East, they couldn't do it...I expect the majority of the season to follow suit for the Cavs.
Washington-102 Dallas-91
The Wizards on paper looked good. So did the Mavericks for that matter. But all these questions hovered over the Wizards: Is Agent zero back, whos the starting 2, new head coach. And I think overall, the Wizards looked great. Especially Arenas. I think theres no doubt Arenas is back (29 points and 9 assists!). Randy Foye and Mike Miller played great as well. I think the Mavericks will be good this year to, but I was glad to see the Wizards playing so well. I hope it continues.
Rockets-87 Trailblazers-96.
I didn't watch much of this game. It was hard to. I'm sorry Rockets fans, but I think your in for a rough year, and this is coming from a BOBCATS fan! I think the Trailblazers are a solid young team thats going to sneak up on a lot of teams in the West. But the Rockets without McGrady and Ming look lost. Good luck Battier and Ariza, I have a bad feeling its going to be a long year,
Congrats Clippers for making this a game! I was impressed with how hard they fought in this one. I think if they keep up that level of intensity (And a healthy Blake Griffin won't hurt) they could win their fair share of games. Playoffs? Eh, probably not, but still, you never know. They've got a talented roster barring injuries and chemistry, they may not be that bad this year. The Lakers did look a little sloppy, but they just had the ring ceremony. Opening night jitters aside, and a healthy Gasol could mean another great year for the Lakers.
Tonight there are some more great games being played (Go Bobcats!) but I think last night was a great indicator of some killer basketball going down this year! What do you guys think?
Can some one please explain...
Why every magazine, website and sporting news affiliate seems to think that Charlotte will be GARBAGE this year? I don't mean bad, I mean awful!
Slam Magazine: http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2009/10/charlotte-bobcats-season-preview-3/
Predicted record: 20-62.
Espn is predicting 35-47 and saying the Bobcats are stuck in "purgatory."
And I've seen other places putting The Bobcats all the way down to only 15 or 18 wins. Really? I mean, I get that a lot of teams have bulked up this year (Celtics with Sheed, Magic with Carter and Barnes, Wizards with...well, a whole new team and a healthy Arenas) but why does that all of a sudden mean Charlotte doesn't know how to play Basketball?
I'm not sayin Charlotte's going all the way or something like that, but I seriously think there going to surprise a lot of teams and analysts this year. At least, I hope so. What do you guys think?
Best and Worst Trades for The Bobcats?
Charlotte has been one of those teams that has been trying to forge an identity over the past couple seasons and by doing so have made A LOT of trades! With that being said, I think a few of them have been great decisions and some of them, not so much!
I think the best trade they made was when they traded Richardson for Bell and Diaw, however, I hated seeing Dudley go. I think he was an atheltic guy who had a lot of potential. Hes shown that in some of the preseason action so far this season for the Suns.
Worst trade is an easy one for me! Primo and Herman for Mohammed. Okay, don't get me wrong, I don't think Mohammed is bad. But COME ON!?!?! Your gonna trade a 7 footer AND a strong athletic 4 with a nice out side jumper for a veteran who since his arrival has played nothing but limited minutes? I'm sorry, but I think this was one of the worst decisions ever made by these Bobcats and to this day I still wish those 2 guys were on our roster.
What do you guys think?
