Hammer and Rails To anyone watching ESPN2 right now

I know they are only playing the lowly Hoosiers, but Ohio State is scary. They don't miss from deep, Sullinger is an animal, and they move the ball. Coach Painter is going to have to come up with something special to prepare our boys for battle against these guys. From the games I have seen where Duke has participated, I have no idea how ESPN's beloved Dukies are above the Buckeyes. Boilerup! and a happy new year

Hammer and Rails Duke, Oh Boy

Now, I'm a young fellow. In my 16 years on this planet I have seen some things in sports people can only dream of. I entered a world dominated by the Bulls, the Sox '05 run that just gives me the chills whenever I think about it, Blackhawks are all over Olympic ice, and heck even a screwed up franchise like the Bears almost got a title. God has been good to Chicago sports in my lifetime. Hummel's injury was devastating. This was about as bad, to me, as Kyle Orton's senior year when they played Wisconsin and Orton got flipped, fumbled, and taken to the house. This ended the undefeated season and the heisman effort. That season was thrown to the dogs after that game. Orton ended up with a hip pointer which led to a loss the next week at Northwestern, if memory serves me correctly. I thought this season would end in similiar fashion, I could have never been more wrong. Even though the Final Four  still what seems like years away, it could still happen... right?

Hammer and Rails ROBBIE MVP OF THE BIG TEN?

I know that nobody outside of Purdue's fan base would agree with that. The nation has fallen in love with Buckeye pointgaurd, heck they should. He has a skillset and size that would make him a great fit in the NBA and with a masterful performance in the Big Ten Tournament proved himself head and shoulders above every other player in the conference. With his 20 ppg, 6 apg, and 9 rpg he has shown he is the best player in the Big Ten but is he the most valuable?

Hammer and Rails Where were you?

My Feb. 25 was supposed to be a good day... Purdue barely escaped the night before but the question of whether robbie's knee still floated in my mind. I prayed for just a sprain, but in 7th period chemistry I recieved a text from my dad with news nobody wants to hear. It read like this "Happy 16th birthday and by the way, on The Score they just said Robbie has a torn acl". I was shocked. It looked like the Final Four dream is all but over. It got me thinking, who can replace him? Can they learn how to play without one of the best players in the conference and maybe even the nation?
